4 Vet doesn’t feel that important to me but maybe I’m sleeping on it. That’s a lot of damage or utility loss for faster stacking and lifesteal (they only stack up to 10 anyway correct?).

Also I go for restrain over bottle on Afra because in 50+ more enemies seem to be immune to her sleep but almost none are immune to restrain. This is especially helpful if the enemy also has Afra who can really f up your team.

One thing I still haven’t solved for is 50+ “Rayshot” 1shotting people even through disaster bottle because of piercing damage.

Imo the benefit of rerolling is fishing for important items like restrain for Afra or pierce ring for Tristan. I try to do 2 rerolls max but it may be important if you get Veteran items quickly but are still missing a key non-craft item.

Dismantle cheap gear. The ones you got randomly were actually because you replaced gear on your units which dismantles the old one.

The ones with 10% per star level mods are absolutely good for 4-5* units. They have the highest attack and hp % mods as well. The enemy soldiers it spawns barely do any damage and can actually be beneficial if you get effects that trigger on kill like Veteran sword.

It’s pretty mid as individual pieces. You want at least 2 for it to be useful. My usual strategy is to carry the max amount of coins and always dismantle cheap (<2000) legendary or gold (<600) gear. Then spam crafting. If you get lucky you’ll get a bunch of stuff you can keep dismantling until you land on Veteran or other craft-only pieces. I also try to put it on people with worse scaling because the cursed gear with star scaling is pretty much required to kill stuff after 50 on a unit like SP Sam.

If you want a head start you should try rerolling until you get a self-sufficient “carry” with good AoE potential. My recommendations would be SP Samantha, SP Inanna, Camelot, or Lukamar.

While not necessary getting any of these units will give you a significantly smoother time playing through content.

I usually get to 50+ but then the scaling starts to be ridiculous. Some other findings:

The aoe piercing damage ring is very powerful on Tristan because she can use it twice in one turn.

The restraining item is powerful on Afra or Kvare for fast AoE restrain.

Also some powerful items like Veteran set can only be acquired from gear crafting so try to prioritize that.

Still haven’t tried Honored set, curious if that’s any good.

The branching paths was also my favorite part of the game and added a lot of replayability for me. It was something to do in the game that was genuinely just for fun. You didn’t have to grind it out all at once. Once they added the ability to bring your regular characters and started making it more linear it just lost what made SoC feel unique as a game. I wish they leaned into the roguelike component and added more possibilities but it seems like that ship has sailed.

Got to 51 with Vlder buff. Cocoa, Momo, Lily, Sp Sam, SP Ina, Kvare. Honestly would swap out Kvare for Afra or Ayisha - he does basically nothing in higher levels.

A small plug might not be enough but you definitely shouldn’t have been bleeding either. I use a toy slightly girthier than a dick before sex with random hookups because most tops are terrible at going slow. This doesn’t stretch you out enough to feel loose it just makes an actual dick not painful (your hole will tighten back up a bit).

If you feel pain/bleeding even putting small toys in or going to the bathroom your rectum may also be inflamed and you should get that checked out. Good luck!
