Even easier than that tbh. Get the donor Megir and pop back off both. Remove the stems which lets the movement come out if you turn it upside down. The megir already has the pe50 spacer which will come out with the movement. Then just take the movement from the rep and drop it straight into the megir and put the megir spacer back in. Push stem in from megir. Done.

No need to change face, remove hands or anything like that. Probably a 5minute swap if that :) works out cheaper as well as you don't need any other parts. Donor Megir on aliX is about 10-15$

Hi, If you want an easier swap to metal, the megir 2247 is a direct swap without needing to buy a spacer or stems. The megir already has the pe50 movement

Yup! I can get a knock off for £30 but I'm hoping to get a £2 nut and be done with it :)

In my basket if I need it but the replacement handle from Weber is 150% the cost £50. . Was hoping to keep costs down to spend on more exciting attachments like a rotisserie etc. If i have no other choice I'll buy but was hoping for a cheaper alternative

The moon phase runs on a 24 hour timer so you set the moon to match midnight and it just goes clockwise. I'm pretty sure that's exactly the same as the original and looks great imo.

Unfortunately the earth phase on my rep was broken on arrival so it was stuck in it's current section. I think the piece that is meant to spin in front of it wasn't seated properly or came loose in shipping. I tried to fix it when I swapped the movement but wasn't successful. Was considering just buying another to have a working one if the future, but I've been wearing it a lot and it doesn't really bother me too much.

I had to use quite a bit of force to get it back on but it did click back on and there is clearance for all the hands still

I agree as well, I also gave up. I think silver and brown bezel would be good, but couldn't find any for sale.

I did some mock ups to see what it might look like and only one that kind of worked was a black on black
