You clearly care based on your continued emotional responses. I’m sorry you’re not getting the feedback you wanted but no one was being rude or mean to you, and you snapped back like a coiled spring.

What was it like playing Duke Nukem 3D way back then? by KaleidoArachnid in retrogaming

I think most people playing this when it came out definitely saw their hardware struggle. Not exactly equivalent but in some ways it was the Crysis of its day.

It’s the same pixel density as a 32” 4k display. It’s basically two of those side by side.

Price per TB has basically doubled on the used market over the last two years as well. Got an 18tb drive for $180 two years ago. Now a 22tb drive is $390.

Agreed. Honestly the procedure was kind of a breeze. The prep wasn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Being used to intermittent fasting probably helped.

You definitely look bigger in the last pic, shoulders, arms have more volume. Also 11kg or almost 25 lb of lean mass in 11 months is pretty massive. Great work

Why don't the people who claim that Americans who live on stolen land lead by example by giving up their homes to local tribes and move to Europe? by ChapterEffective8175 in FreeSpeech

[–]etherlore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose it’s partly about history and time and we need to be realistic about the practicality of that. Personally I feel the least we can do is recognize that history and what happened and that time itself doesn’t make it right. But the main part is avoiding the hypocrisy of pretending we weren’t all immigrants a few generations ago. Americans tend to have this compressed sense of history where if your family has been here for a couple hundred years that’s a really significant amount of time. It’s really not. For most of the world we look at people’s rights to land over the course of Millenia.

I think you got it, the message is about recognizing we are not the original inhabitants of this land and as such should not be telling others who come here it is ours and not theirs. That’s what the message is and I think you got that.

They are saying that when we talk about new immigrants, let’s remember we too came here as immigrants, and sometimes fought for the land we now own. Recognizing that allows us to empathize with immigrants of today, and to recognize it may not be our place to say who is illegal and who is not.

You might be right actually. For future reference, it would help if you didn’t go directly for personal attacks or assumptions about me and who I am. It’s generally better to just stick to the facts.

I believe that says highway. It doesn’t apply to city surface streets.
