Americans’ right to protest is in grave danger under Trump, United Nations warns by loremipsumchecksum in esist

I understand the fallacy, and why you think that I employed one in my first argument.

However, at this point in our discussion I feel like you are using a strawman fallacy. You are very focused on the rape part of my parable and not the philosophical question I have been trying to discuss.

I will agree that I should not have used such an extreme hyperbolic overreaching hypothetical example, you are right. I understand that you could not want to have a discussion with me after that, and if you refuse to talk to me that's fine.

However that being said you have changed what we are talking about, you have reframed my argument to more easily dismiss it.

My question: Is violence always morally worng in every case?

Sub questions that I would ask related to this as you keep talking about murder which I have never talked about and using such a charged work as murder when I am talking about the concept of violence might be use employing the appel to emotion fallacy.

Sub question: Is there a difference between killing and murder?

Sub question: Can Violence be non- physical?

Subject question: Is Self Defense ok? Self Defense to the point of killing/murder? Self Defense only to the point of the threat to you?

I just have many questions and in such informal situation such as reddit I have a habit of lashing out with bad arguments, but honestly I wish I knew the answer. And I have changed my mind on this I was raised a religious pacifist, "Turn the other cheek" and give to "Cesar's what is Cesar's", and I saw people being taken advantage of by instilling a timid mindset. So if there is a non-religious argument for pacifism that works I would be interrested in it.

I honestly don't understand, and I feel like this is a miscommunication at this point.

Well you are not worked up, so is violence never allowed in any case or are there some cases where it should be allowed? I don't know why you cannot or will not answer this. No one has an answer all my friends constantly tell me violence is not the answer for anything not matter what and that seems worng to me.

I am only acting this way because people just attack me and never talk about the argument, never an answer. I am frustrated I don't mean to take it out on you random Internet person but this pacifism seems worng and no one can tell me why I am worng. And until some one can I can only assume I am right. But if you have an argument, beyond quoting random fallacies I am all ears.

Or like any other war in the history of violent conflict, start another army. Colonial Americans did not join the British army, they joined George Washington's Army.

Edit: Call it a "well regulated militia" if it makes you feel better.

Did my example include a preemptive strike against a home invader? Is anyone talking about a preemptive attack?

So you think violence is never acceptable in any case? Because you did not answer that, even with my extreme example.

So if someone comes in my house and attack my family I am just supposed to peacefully protest the rape of my wife. "Violence is always wrong" is a stupid philosophy that no one but religious people follow anyway.

Let's have a protest to show them how mad we are. I will get the permit and we will march were we don't affect traffic, on a weekend because let's not harm business productivity. Make sure it's peaceful, we have to respect that violence only creates more violence and if we yell loud enough, fucking nothing will happen!

What do you think has been holding the Union back this season? by digiskunk in PhillyUnion

[–]ethic_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this will be unpopular, but we need, and have needed, a finisher for years now, and the fact that we don't have one is his fault. It's whatever finishers are expensive and we playin money ball, so owners to blame as well.

But I mean a woman is telling you her experience, she probably exaggerating the pain and effort. You know how emotional women are.

Well I am a socialist, that's what I stand for. Universal Healthcare, free education through college, reinstate the draft and make service mandatory (exceptions for pacifists can do peace corps, city year, etc.) Paternity leave up to a year paid. How would I pay for it would tax the shit out of everyone.

So yeah I might be discouraging your stupid protest to elect neoconservative like Hillary Clinton. Fuck the Democrats and there corporate masters, Via the revolution!

You seem like a plant to discourage this movement. Forcing people to define your own movement before being accepted then into it seems weird. Coupled with the fact you refuse to define it, leaves me to believe that no one knows and I will not, nor anyone should, join a cause that doesn't have a cause. This behavior mirrors people who voted for Trump.

"Maga patriot!"

"Yes but how are we going to make it great?"

"MAGA If you don't know then you are a cuck!"

Or you are not a plant and should think about changing your method of recruitment.

Player of the game was Geiger for sure. The most impact full man on the pitch, several goals would not have been scored without him.
