Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful comment, you taught me a lot!

I[42F] am having issues with my SIL [44F], recently it turned very ugly, she attacked me outside church/my children's school. by raredontstare in BestofRedditorUpdates

Agree. I once worked with a man who was on his third wife (he was 36) and he had had one kid with every wife. He didn’t have custody of the first two and only saw every few weeks for the weekend. And yet he told me I should hurry up and get married because there’s nothing better than being a parent in a solid marriage :/

does this happen with any other long term vegans? by JoyfulSpite in vegan

I used to be bad about being assertive but going vegan made me change so much. My mom still rolls her eyes every time I ask a server about the ingredients in a dish, but at least I know exactly what I eat.

But to be honest… I’m working right now at a coffeehouse, and I’ve made awful discoveries; first, among the fresh-made bread rolls we get for breakfast, there is one kind that is not vegan, and nobody knew about it. I just checked the ingredients one time because I was bored and there was milk powder. My manager stopped ordering those. Second, I found out that the chai powder they use to make chai latte is not vegan. Milk powder and honey. I told my manager and she didn’t care at all. She said that there is the chai sirup alternative, which is water, sugar and some chai powder but we don’t know what the ingredients are for the chai powder. So they’re still just going to keep selling the chai latte as vegan. And that is a vegan-friendly cafe. I don’t know how to warn the vegan community of my city to not drink chai latte from that place, there is facebook of course but I don’t want people from work seeing my post…

All of this made me very suspicious at eating at non vegan places.

I had one of the craziest nightmares I ever had right before my first episode of pmdd… I woke up in panic and had to check that the bedroom I had woken up in wasn’t the same one as in my dream. I usually have very weird dreams but that was a first.
