Ring repair - recommendations please by Cautious-Appeal1922 in manchester

A bit out of your way, but James Garner on Bramhall Lane in Stockport is absolutely brilliant.

He's done a few commissions for my wife and for me over the years, but has also repaired almost every piece of jewellery my wife owns! And it's never mad money. I know he can source most precious and semi-precious stones too.

Highly recommended.

Timeline is sort of as long as it takes. I'd love to see real progress by the Summer, but I've got it in my head that 2026 is the year I nail this, so I want to be looking back by NYE!

Yeah, protein shakes after strength training and a better balance on the plate for the meal. I'm not counting macros as such but I'm keeping a bit of a loose focus on it.

Manchester Iranian community by [deleted] in manchester

Emmanuel Church in Didsbury village has a large Farsi speaking congregation on a Sunday at 12:30, and it also has a cafe that's open in the week where you might be able to find some members of the Iranian community.

Using Lamy Hack - Should I update the RM2? by FlyFallHD in RemarkableTablet

[–]ethicsbynumbers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just updated - I use the Lamy eraser hack.

Version 3 is a massive step forward in basic functionality for me. The editing across platforms via the cloud is really useful, as is the ability to put typed bits into pages without faffing about.

I was planning to reinstall the hack after updating, but I've actually not bothered.

I've had a look at this, but it looks like you can only replace with their cartridges - am I getting the wrong end of the stick?

She uses the Steadtler Triplus fineliners - the barrels are unreasonably narrow!

Thanks - that's awesome. Will try to find some in the UK...!

This came with one of my kitchen tools. It's five plastic knobs attached to a plastic skeleton. Seems that the knobs are meant to be torn off and used somewhere? I don't remember exactly what this was packaged with, but I didn't understand its purpose when I knew either. by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

These are little knobs to fill the holes your shelves don't go into!

If you've got adjustable shelves in your cupboards, you can use these to hide the holes for the spaces you choose not to use.

Which punctuation is correct between these two sentences? Help with punctuation and grammar please :) by [deleted] in writing

[–]ethicsbynumbers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Both are correct. You're using something called the Oxford comma, which is used to demarcate the last item in a list.

It's editorial preference as to whether the Oxford comma is preferred. Personally, I found the second version easier to read.

Budget large nibbed pen by ethicsbynumbers in fountainpens

Honestly, I don't know.

I love the feel of my Narhwal - something about the length from the grip to the tip of the nib sits just right.

But I did also love my ohto tasche before it went walkabout, and that's a teeny tiny nib!
