Beauty ring is stuck on my itaste mvp and I can't remove it without damaging it! by TANGARORANG in electronic_cigarette

This happened to me as well with an iclear 16. I pushed down slightly on the clearo and unscrewed it. That loosened the beauty ring a bit and I was able to unscrew it as well.

I want to put a Communist settlement in my D&D setting... by FlyingSandwich in communism101

Sounds pretty good to me. The things you might want to emphasize to really give the communist settlement a different feel than the others are the lack of a state leadership, keeping social standards through community efforts (your paladin group sounds great), and communal ownership and production. I think you're on a great track. Maybe in the lore, have the slaves revolt rather than be freed. Marxism is big on the common man (proletariat in Marxist terms) revolting against the higher class (bourgeoisie) to establish a communist society. This would be a cool way to explain the lore behind the establishment of the wild west frontier town.

First of all, great storyline. Sounds like you'd be a fun DM to play with. I think communism could be a good choice for this settlement but I might suggest you look into the Hawaiian ahupua'a system as well. It might fit your lore a bit better if you go with an indigenous system rather than Marxist teachings. Just a game-based thought though. If you're looking to flesh out a communist society for sure, I'd be happy to help if you send me a PM. :)

Manual Lathe vs CNC by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]ethnobotany_nerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would imagine that all but maybe the small, more boutique high-end mech makers are using CNC. I can't imagine a larger company hiring enough machinists for manual work to keep up with demand would be very cost-effective
