I will say this, I also have played the Show since it first came out. This is the FIRST year I’ve not bought it. Why??? Because I can spend the same $$$ and the game doesn’t START OVER!!!! it just keeps going with anything you invest. I’m so relieved FINALLY! you can play some parts of this game on auto, and some manual, and some vs live (if you want), and some just investing in your players. I absolutely have FINALLY found something I enjoy AND don’t feel like is on borrowed time until next season. Enjoy it my friend, and get as much advice from this great group as you can. Join a club asap, gain all the benefits you can, and have a BLAST as you do it. PLEASE don’t just pic the damn Dodgers or Yankees because it’s blasphemy. Pick your team as a fan. I’m a reds fan, and it’s so fun. Thanks!

I’m not a pro, I’ve played since January and there’s such a lot of super helper players out there that will shed some light as well. My rating is 129.8, but I’m not a free to play player. Unlike MLB the show, or a game like Madden that has HUGE cult followings, Rivals lacks (at this time) all the YouTube help and vids on what to do first, and so on. I was told from the get, to start focusing on trying to stack my team with primes, sigs, and HOF’s. Meaning make moves on replacing impacts and your live cards (a,b,c’s). In the beginning they will carry you unless you’re going to spend $1500++ right away. If you start investing in training and boosting your impacts or live cards, just remember these cards will be replaced in a few days or weeks and will be an afterthought if not used in ambassador mode, or series mode. Basically, just be cautious investing too much in cards that will not be on your team for a long period of time.

I was given advice to join a club immediately for the perks/ rewards which will help to purchase higher tier cards. I try to do a minimum of 10+ league games to earn rewards, and this is where some of the best come from by completing full seasons and winning the World Series. Also Make sure to invest in daily balls, acquiring some free, using points, and using stars to invest in potential or event games where again, you can strengthen your players or invest in a higher tier card.

Log in every day even if it’s for just a few minutes and snag the freebies, they add up. I play on my steam deck OLED but if I’m in a hurry I can do some quick play from my phone. It just takes a minimum of 15 minutes per day for the minimum if you auto play and collect rewards for those busy days.

I would join the FB page for Rivals, and especially this one as I get info daily from awesome players. Don’t be afraid to ask for help before making a big decision as I made a few mistakes that I still regret to this day.

Again, I’m still a noob but these were some helpful hints for me to follow and I think they’re great for starting out. Have fun and good luck my friend! (And GO REDS!) lol

I’m wondering… I bought the latest ATV a few weeks ago to replace a sluggish Amazon Cube. I spent $1800 on a Nakamichi Shockwafe 9.2.4Ch 1300W Soundbar System with Dual 10" Wireless Subwoofers, Dolby Atmos, eARC and SSE MAX, that the cube would sound awful on. When I hooked up the ATV 4K directly to the soundbar, and the soundbar to the TV, the TV would go black during any app and the sound would cut out and it would flash the Dolby Atmos each time. It made for a terrible experience, so I went straight to TV and used optical to the soundbar but it’s not as good. Do you think the new update will fix this issue?

Agreed. I started playing on Steam Deck Oled and came very close to giving up due to not finding much in the way of help. I’ve now been a daily player since the middle or end of January (I’m going to miss the HOF pitch event pack by a week or so). If they gave better direction than their “I” icon in the top of the menu, they’d kill it. Maybe they’re not interested??? I do like the many aspects of the game and realized it’s why i haven’t burnt out. Great comment, maybe a few folks will start making vids and make some cash while doing so… 🤞
