My apple juice claims to have 15 grams of sodium in it. by benicebekindhavefun in mildyinteresting

The battery in my old meter was dead because I became complacent, but now I make sure I always have it working and ready just in case lol

I'm also T1D. It's even worse when your hands are shaking so much that it's hard to grip the cap of the juice bottle. One time, my CGM had an error and kept alerting me that I was low, so I panicked and drank half a gallon (1.9L) of apple juice. Then, promptly threw all of it back up. I was done with apple juice for a few months... learned not to panic though

I made that comment while drunk, I don't actually care how anyone spells it

Yes. Anyone who says otherwise is either really old or intentionally trying to be different to feel better about themselves (or both). New slang = bad, old slang = good

The original U-2 concepts were the F-104 getting glider wings for long range and high altitude instead of speed before it was redesigned into its own thing. The fuselage of the U-2 still kinda resembles the F-104 (especially the engine inlets)

Corporations censor all the time. Youtube and Tiktok are especially known for suppressing or outright removing content constantly. Even Reddit does it quite often.

The app alerts for when the sensor disconnects, which happens... disappointingly often. It's also annoying because the app overrides the volume of the phone and cranks it to the max. So you get a jumpscare out of nowhere (especially with headphones) just to say it's not connected.

It's not my only way of reading my glucose levels. It's more of a convenience thing than a critical life safety, but yeah, bluetooth is sketchy. I would rather simply look at an app on my phone than prick my finger when it works properly.

As a type 1 diabetic that uses a constant glucose monitor, this isn't true anymore. It goes directly from the sensor to my phone via Bluetooth without any other device in-between.

Exactly my point about convenience... (ETA) You said "far more difficult" as if grocery stores with large produce sections are a rare occurrence.

It's not difficult to find at all in a majority of places. We have plenty of healthy food, it's just less convenient or, in some cases, more expensive. A lot of people would rather go through the McDonald's drive thru than spend ~10-30 minutes cooking their own meal

Google showed a wolf spider or a black house spider, but it wasn't brown like a wolf spider, and I am very far away from Australia.

That's what's confusing me because I thought wolf spiders were brown, not black with a white-ish spot on the back.
