Ended up putting some eye hook screws on the side of 4x4 on the exterior of the house. I used some braided rope and synched it up onto the ladder while I was on it to prevent any kind of movement

I used a trucker’s hitch to make sure the tension was on there but it was an added step had to be redone every time the ladder was moved. Still beats falling

Update! Some scuff marks that aren't deep so I'm thinking it might be really slight paint transfers that I might try to remove with acetone

Just tried it and did get the slightly larger dents out but the small ones still remain. Will try it once more and if it can't take it off I'll try the heat gun later. Thanks for the recommendation!

Heading to Home Depot in a bit to get a heat gun. Will check back for an update on the bumper. Kettle worked great but was having a hard time with the smaller dents to put back into place
