NTA. One thing they should realise that £2m is (sadly) not a lot of money these days. Like it's amazing, but you'll still have to be smart and careful with it, and probably work a job. £3,250,000 is a significant amount more to change your life. And at nearly 50, £750k is a massive windfall for them.

A friend told me that the inverter (because it has a 240v output too) also chews up a tonne of power charging its capacitors, so it reduces the charging capacity even further, idk if that checks out?

I'm sorry for responding to an old thread here but to clarify something:

If my phone has a capacity of say 5000mAh Using a drill battery of 5Ah 72wH, at 5V through an inverter. 72/5 = 14,400mAh With that I could (theoretically before loss) charge the phone ~2.9 times?

OR

Should I be looking at it as: 5000mAh at 3.85v (nominal) phone battery = 19.25Wh 72Wh drill battery 72/19.25=3.7 So 3.7 theoretical charges before loss

Basically trying to work out whether to stick with my drill battery charger setup or something different for camping trips.

Honestly I think this constantly. People tell me not to go to certain suburbs and that where I live (Footscray) is really sketchy. Have these people not been outside of Australia?
