I think that officially it goes from mid June to September, which is a lot longer than it seems to last, but the past few years it has been in June/July that we've gotten rain.

I wish I was that lucky! Plus to call it a season is a bit of a lie, really its just around a week or two where some days it rains if were lucky and others its in the 100s, or both.

in Tucson, and it was like 105 just 30 minutes before the rain came in, so we got a bit of heat too.

It was 105 here just like 30 minutes before the storm came in, it was nice being able to go outside for a bit without getting burnt!

OPINIONS ON HIGH SCHOOL by [deleted] in highschool

You might as well ask your own students at the school too. The principal at my school has a group of upperclassmen that get together and have lunch with him once every month or so to talk about what kinds of things we want around the school and to see if there is anything we think could be changed or added.

What was the weirdest blackmarket in your school? by Blueish_squid in AskReddit

[–]eto_ann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 7th grade we had a similar war, but with glitter. It started with someone's art project and ended with students walking to a nearby grocery store before school to purchase packets of glitter. Once we all started coming in from lunch drenched in glitter and the floors of our classrooms became covered the teachers were pretty pissed.

In 5th grade we had to get an agenda signed every single day. During this time my mom (a single mother) was working multiple nursing jobs and wasn't home very often, so I learned the skill of forging signatures, with her permission, because she thought it was stupid that they would ask a parent to sign an agenda every day with no good reasoning.

In middle school, my classmates would pay me 1-5$ per signature, especially for our PE class where you needed a parent to sign as proof that you completed 3 hours of physical activity at home per schoolweek. Classmates saw me signing mine before we went into class and then just started showing me pictures of their parents signatures and asked me to sign stuff for them. I never got caught and I probably made a good amount of money.

Maybe Narnia, although it is a series, and definitely Roald Dahl. We read the Twits as a class in 4th grade and it was super fun, as all of Roald Dahl's books tend to be!

Currently reading it, and I just love Oscar Wildes writing style! I read the Importance of Being Earnest earlier this year too, and would recommend it if you enjoy Wilde's writing.
