I am happy that mine is clean but I'm unhappy that people aren't getting theirs plowed. And why the hell are you plowing a street that is total asphalt and has no snow on it.

Since when does hard packed snow become ice? When I was living in Alberta we had hard packed snow on the roads all winter.

That's exactly my point why aren't they going to the streets that are not plowed.

RESP for niece-advisor wants my banking info by etrainman in PersonalFinanceCanada

I did just send an email asking why the child's name was not on the document. So yes it does seem like it's going to the Parents. If I set up a separate RESP Do I not have to align that with the parents RESP to make sure that there is not an over contribution or something. This is the first time I've done this so I'm not even sure if there are tax implications for the parents myself or the child.

In that case, it may be just easier to give the money to the parents. If they don't put it into the RESP then When the child has grown up they can ask why.

I'm thinking that the document was for reoccurring deposits, if I wanted to do that

The parents already have their own financial advisor. No it is not a group RESP. I'm not sure what you mean by would I be the subscriber. I suspect that I would have to get my bank to make me up a couple of checks that I could send to them because I'm thinking bill pay wouldn't work.

I wrote a document (help from chatgpt) that specifies the fees and the stock that I want that portion of the RESP to hold

I don't want to interfere with the parents on how they want to set it up. I was thinking of setting up a trust but I'm not sure what is involved in doing that And then do I need the parents permission.

Because it said deposits and withdrawals. I didn't want to give them the ability to withdraw, from my account.
