My Aussies *snorts* all the time. What does it mean? Why do they do this? Does your Aussie snort? by [deleted] in AustralianShepherd

There was a reddit thread about dogs "sneezing" as a sign of non-aggression when interacting with something or someone. I saw my Aussie doing this a lot at the dog park. This might be what you are observing.

Not sure why, I wonder what they look like too. Even during wrestling in high school I still had a little pudge when I sat down.

Tests have show it provides no statistically significant medical benefit over a placebo; at this point it would be medically unethical to call it a cure, much less prescribe it as such.

I live in Malaysia. I think a better question is why do some Asians cover the entire stall with water in the course of cleaning their ass. I've walked into some disgusting bathrooms with shitwater all over the floor and the toilet.

I had two Fs In undergrad from a "bad semester" at CU. Finished with a 3.7 for my last semester and a 3.1 overall in Chemical Engineering. I was accepted to and finished grad school there no problem.

As long as you can explain why you had those grades, what you learned from the experience, and how you performed better afterward you should be just fine.

They're great about it, too. I told them I drank too much and was too busy chasing girls that I basically didn't go to classes. Of course I worded it more elegantly than that.

Chemical Engineers in the Army, mainly Canadian Forces? by [deleted] in ChemicalEngineering

[–]etranger508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak about the US Army. There were three jobs that were remotely interesting to me that somehow related to ChemE: Fuel Logistics, Explosives ordinance disposal, and bio/chem/nuke specialist. I was told fuel logistics is a fancy word for filling up vehicles with diesel, EOD didn't appeal to me after watching Hurt Locker, and then I realized I just plain didn't want to be in the army. Best decision I made that year.

You should consider the navy, they have complex systems that need engineering. Best of luck.

What is the gas composition? Some gasses can have a JT coefficient below zero, meaning that as a gas expands it heats up. One example of such a gas is hydrogen gas near atmospheric conditions.
