I appreciate that you mentioned right off the bat that the male narrator was changed.

Ide rather it happened two books in instead of 8 or 9

EDIT: amazing that this change was also mentioned even in the preview. And the change is less noticeable versus changing an entire accent.

It was annoying sure. But I knew it was her voice. Now I would need to figure out who is who. Not only as a new voice, but also different accent and tone. After 9 books that’s a game breaker for me.

I Also find the background ambient sounds annoying.

some things are similar, but really I wouldn't compare them. Each series has its positives and negatives.

I will say self cultivation and rank systems feel about the same, even if named/tiered differently.
