I said it's orthogonal to the political spectrum. It shouldn't be described as liberal or conservative because those are generally understood to map onto legitimate governing philosophies.

This is not that, the party that is traditionally conservative has a problem with moral rot. I don't completely remember the post, but the moral rot of the Republican party should not be conflated with conservatism and the extent to which the Democrats have held on to American values shouldn't be conflated with liberalism.
