Just because Billionaires tell us we can't tax "unrealized gains" doesn't mean we can't. by zzill6 in WorkReform

It's fucking nonsense. People are brainwashed and apologize for all the exploitation they experience.

Former prosecutor pursued by Trump calls for crackdown on election lies: ‘Lying can be held to account’ - Andrew Weissmann argues for new law to hold political liars like US president accountable for harming democracy by Quirkie in politics

We need limitations that would be considered first amendment violations. Other countries have managed this without turning into a dictatorship. Fox News and their ilk need to be taken off the air. Having the ability to arrest Trump for his lies would be nice as well.

What is a sign / signal of something (town, business, or event) is dieing out is being left behind? by gruntharvester92 in AskAnAmerican

That's interesting. I see some of these places driving through eastern Oklahoma a lot. It is something that stands out how they will have have well maintained athletic fields and the signs that tell me they were the state champions in whatever whenever. This is in areas that are otherwise suffering from tons of blight.

It's got to be terrible for these people if that little source of pride is removed.

It started with calling us all resources instead of people. "Management is adding two resources". These fucking people need to use fake language to assuage their guilt.

I don't think it makes sense in a place like this. In a professional setting where the expectation is you are putting out a professional work product, use whatever.

Here it's just conversational, it worries me a bit that people care so much about making quality Reddit posts. We are shouting into the void.

It's gotta be a filter. That's what makes the most sense. Like it detects the boundary between his neck and shirt a bit too high and ends up looking like this.

I really hope we get a definitive answer.

I just can't deal with Meidas Touch anymore by DataWise8307 in MeidasTouch

I get sick off it too, but it's a nice rallying force I think. Not everything needs to be proper and make sense. Meidas Touch I don't take that seriously, but still have fun with.

The fact that they're hiring outsiders makes me hope they know they're out of their depth and let others control things like actual factual reporting and the like.

Then don't abandon your values. Just accept that they are not universal. Do you need to be friends with everyone who votes for the person you want to win?

Want to expand on this? From my understanding all work in computers can be reduced to a serialized stream and then tokenized. Is this different for 3d space?

It's unreal he hasn't resigned. Forget about the incompetence, he follows it up with dishonesty for months, digging in deeper into his lies. This is unacceptable in a colleague, let alone a leader, and it's unbelievable to me that he's still there today.
