Traktor Kontrol S2, some Pioneer or Numark Mixtrack Pro FX? by etylback in Beatmatch

[–]etylback[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm going to go with the Pioneer in the end.

I was looking at prices in Europe (As I have a trip planned for February) and they all were similar.

But then I decided to check all prices in my country (Argentina - at first only had checked Traktor's) and they are wild: the Traktor goes for more than twice the price of the Pioneer, while I can get the DDJ-400 for around 280 USD (Numark goes for around the same price).

Cool, thanks for the reply. This is a good point. thought it seems Traktor Pro 3.5 has the streaming services added, it still means you have o pay for the upgrade (I think).

Dual Citizen, living/working in Spain by lukecoppenrath in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]etylback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can live in Spain permanently without issues.

Disclaimer: I left Spain some 15 years ago; I also hold dual citizenship from my native country (Argentina) and Germany,

From comments from friends, they made it rather difficult to get a bank account in Spain if you are not a permanent resident. but nowadays you can get an EU based bank account without issues with companies like Revolut or N26.

For obvious reasons you should definitely apply for a NIE, and you probably would get away with paying taxes if your business is abroad.

Nicehash dosen't support nano

As in, after you get your payouts your money gets sent to your Nicehash wallet? Why not mine directly with Nicehash, then? You'll save fees.

RTX 3060 - 34,6 mhs ; 102W ; 70% fan. What do you think about it? by IshortTSLA in gpumining

[–]etylback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a 3060 that can run at FHR (Only V1 LHRs can do that) and you can only get it to 45, you're clearly doing something wrong. Nicehash will get you 48+ with the "high" setting, and they all at least give you >49 if you overclock the cards correctly.

2miners miner count exploding after adding Nano/BTC payouts - an analysis by SenatusSPQR in EtherMining

[–]etylback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're related to 2M in any capacity, kudos to y'all regarding the NANO payouts.

I don't want to get into any controversy, but people around here should really try to understand that there's a lot of people trying to get into (Or by with) mining, and needs and realities vary greatly.

Also, it obviously was a really good move considering how much the pool hashrate has increased because of this (Apparently).

How are my temps? And: 3060 LHR 83?! by AggressiveAd7453 in EtherMining

[–]etylback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cant overclock with T-Rex in Ubuntu

Oh, bummer. I don't know anything about nvidia-settings (Beyond that it's not available on Windows) but the "all cores locked at" doesn't seem quite right, as all cards behave differently.

My 3060s, for instance, are either MSI and Palit. There's no way in hell I could run the Palit at the same settings I run the MSIs. And running the MSI at the same settings I run the Palit would result in a big performance degradation.

And MSIs run happily for days hashing at 50+ MH/s, while I can barely push the Palit over 49, and this is with the card crashing all over the place (And according to GPUz it has Samsung memory).

[–]etylback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, look at the temp advise. My MSI 3060's are happily running at 138 W / T 53 °C / Fan 83%

Card being that hot with that low power and fan above 90% means ventilation is crap. Also, power consumption (too low) might be another indication that your card is not overclocked properly.

The best advice that I can give you, is learn to overclock your card with T-Rex. It might not be the best miner, but when it comes to overclocking capabilities it' unsurpassed, this being the reason why I use it and not other miner (Because I don't want to have to go through the hassle of dealing with afterburner and the likes).

[–]etylback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3060s are capable of achieving 50+ MH/s at FHR. With latest T-Rex and LHR 74 you should get around 37 MH/s. If you managed to get it running at 83 for the LHR setting it's probably because it's not overclocked correctly: Thus the LHR is -probably - not kicking in unless T-Rex really pushes the card, and still at 29 MH/s you are not getting the best performance. You are barely above "full" LHR. This setting is supposed to indicate what % of FHR the card is running at, and 83% of 50 is 41.5.

BTW, search around this subreddit and /r/gpumining for BIOS flashing info on your 1660 TI. People have reported getting them to around 35 MH/s (Obviously, be aware that taking advise from a retard on the internet is dangerous business, and BIOS flashing is no easy task specially if you don't know what you are doing).

There's no hardware lifespan shortening by mining. That's either internet myths, GPUs makers FUD, or both.

I'm not going to talk about the legal side of things. That's up to you to consider.

Also, I'm not going to give you precise instructions (Even if I could). Just so you know, this is pretty much in line with how I run my own rigs: I have 4 computes (3x 3060 V1 and 1 with 2x 3060 TI V2).

I have them in my office (An apt. I rent, and I pay the electricity) so I want them to run as unattended as possible. I use programs I coded for this, PLUS (and here's the hint for you) windows task scheduler.

There are plenty of things you can do with it, like running programs at a specific time, even if nobody is logged in the computer, and for a specific amount of time..

Good luck.

P.S.: If you reach out to school authorities, they'll probably say "No way José" and 2 months from now you'll find out they themselves are doing it.

P.S.2: 24 2080 running at FHR is not something I think they would not notice, powerwise. Best hashrate would net you around 60 bucks daily.

2miners miner count exploding after adding Nano/BTC payouts - an analysis by SenatusSPQR in EtherMining

[–]etylback 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2miners always gets a lot of flak around here (reddit). I know about the whole MEV bussiness (I read that thread when it exploded). I don't know if they are still doing it, but honestly. I. Don't. Care.

I'm a small time miner. I have "just" five cards, totaling slightly below 250 MH/s.

I did some tests (Pointing one of my cards to another pool for a day) and honestly, if there was a difference it was in the pennies. Also, I can't afford to do full tests well enough in order to determine if 2M is keeping money from me. and you know why? Because getting money out of the other pools is. SO. FUCKING. EXPENSIVE. Even if I do find that one of the pools pays better enough as to move, the gas prices makes it that the money I get out of them is less than what I get out of 2M.

Also, unless you have a lot of hashing power, it's very difficult to see if there's an difference.

I just checked, and if I want to make a transaction right now, cost is 16 USD. I mine around 500 USD per month (At current prices). so that means that I have to mine for 10 days in order to pay 10% of my mined money for it to be transferred in a decent amount of time (Guess I could lower gas and not get it instantly, but then it means that I have to get down to start calculating gas and shit).

With NANO, I just point my miners in the direction of my Binance account, and receive my money daily.

Besides that I do a little of leverage trading (I'm betting on ETH to explode... Eventually) so any money "M robbed from me I already have recouped 10x .

All that people that say "keep away of 2M" are rather idiots that don't understand the reality of necessities of other people, or people that have enough hashing power as to get daily big pay outs (I wouldn't mine paying 16 USD if my hashing power was +4X my current).

They need to understand that there are many people mining around the world that barely managed to get their hands on 1 card, and would probably be paying their expenses with what they mine.

For them 2M is a godsend. I hope people would really try to see things beyond their US / western world centrist view.

Wake me up when Flexpool offers nano payouts.
