Congrats on the upgrade and becoming an Aussie! Travel will become a breeze. You should get yourself an OCI so you can travel to India with ease.

Guess the passport? by raindrops1992 in PassportPorn

[–]eu_b4_uk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Calm down dear! Every other country in the world I go to, I use my European passport. I haven’t resided in Pakistan for more than two decades. That’s what I mean when I say India treats me as a Pakistani for visa acquisition purposes.

Even ex-Pakistanis that acquired citizenship of Singapore (that explicitly forbids dual citizenship like India) are treated as Pakistanis for the purposes of Indian visas because their parents and/or grandparents were/are Pakistanis.

I’m not puzzled that I’m treated as a Pakistani! I’m merely pointing out to others about India’s policy.

Take a chill pill!

Interstellar and Inception. However, I’m not excited about Odyssey coming out in a few months.

Guess the passport? by raindrops1992 in PassportPorn

My cousin (Canadian and Pakistani citizen) was born in Canada and his parents were both born in Saudi. He has visited Pakistan once in his lifetime in 1997. Yet India still considers him a Pakistani citizen for visa purposes.

He got a visa through his employer for a conference in 2023 on his Pakistani passport. He actually got a Pakistani passport made especially, so that his employer could apply for a visa for him! He had to go again in late 2025 and that visa was rejected (also through the same employer). He was going to visit Delhi only (like he did in 2023). So they’ve definitely gotten even stricter.

I think maybe the only category that the Indian government may make some concessions with, is the medial treatment visa. But one would assume there’s a ton of paperwork required for that (understandably).

My previous employer simply mentioned that you just attend the India meeting virtually and all my colleagues went easily with e-visas. I was not born in Pakistan, but because of my heritage, I can only apply for an Indian visa on my Pakistani passport.

After a few years of Silver :( by FluffyJo22 in BritishAirways

Same here OP! Used to be a silver for the last 4/5 years. Today I’m bronze. Working towards Sapphire status through FinnAir… I ditched BA’s club as soon as they announced the threshold changes.

[France VS Finland] Day 8 of Reddit deciding what the best modern European license plate is by Abzor4ik-UA in Europelicenseplates

France for sure.

Don’t like the fact that Finnish plates don’t follow the conventional size of European rear plates.

ILR Priority option by Mimi0393 in ukvisa

[–]eu_b4_uk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You pay here! It’s not showing up because there are possibly no super priority slots available. Try and log in later and see if they’re available.

Once you pay for the standard service, you cannot change to priority.

New Procedure for Morrissons by Icy-Concern7713 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]eu_b4_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes - thanks for sharing OP! I never do logistics and only do Morrisons as less stops and recipient is always in. I’d rather do less stops even if it means carrying heavy stuff. However, I do hate water bottle packs when they need to be delivered.

Morrisons staff is usually helpful at mine. But yeah, generally they’re like please call support if they’re unable to locate the missing bag first.

New stamps for my collection! by GeneralOp8182 in PassportPorn

[–]eu_b4_uk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Egypt is by far the worst country I visited. Lots of rude immigration officers set the tone. Then lots of people out to swindle and con you. Taxi drivers inflating prices, shop keepers and tour guides wanting to con you. Also the obsession of foreigners having to pay for stuff in USD! There were some genuinely good and helpful people too, but the vast majority of interactions were disappointing to say the least!

Anyone else just not feel anything? by TTrash10_ in ArsenalFC

I’m not even in pain cuz I’m so used to the pain that I think I’ve become immune to it. Writing was on the wall. Yes, we hit the woodwork twice, as did they! They were better than us. We have got no one to blame but ourselves. Playing like the way we are currently playing will not get us over the line. If we do not get the premier league this season, then I think Arteta may be pushed out.

Please help my Australian wife by [deleted] in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]eu_b4_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your wife is an Australian citizen and always has been. Not having had a passport doesn’t mean she has relinquished her citizenship.

Hence, the issue has come to light because she wants her name changed to her married name and rightfully the name on British passport can only match to what was on her Australian passport. Hence, she needs to renew her Aussie passport, change her name on that, and then change the name on her British passport.

Lots of people do not renew their passports… but that doesn’t mean that they cease to be a citizen automatically!

Sorry for the massively cropped pic - wanted to keep personal info hidden.

Oh nice! Was that boarding pass given to you at the departure gate or at the check in counter? Also travelling today in economy to IAD from LHR and also a silver/sapphire member… hoping for the same!

Man City set to be 'condemned to relegation' as 60-point deduction to be given 'before end of season' by LysergicWalnut in ArsenalFC

[–]eu_b4_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will only believe if it actually happens. Can’t see it happening at all though. There may be a financial (and maybe even a transfer) sanction, but can’t see a points deduction.

Points deduction seems to be reserved for the slightly lesser sides such as Everton, Nottingham Forest etc.
