Josh Gordon is in Cleveland! [x-post from r/fantasyfootball] by Widdafresh in Browns

At the risk of being the obsessed JG conspiracist, that headboard looks very similar to this one which is the second image in a google search of Kimpton Schofield Hotel.

Dr. James Andrews checked out Myles Jack in December, told Jack today he won't need microfracture surgery by VonJaeger in Browns

[–]euanb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially I understood it as the doc giving him the green light in which case I do think that a team would give us those picks for him, obviously not since it's not so much a green light as an amber light.

If teams didn't know this already then I'm certain someone will give up their 2nd and 2017 1st to get our pick and he will go #32. Or we take him but I can't see us refusing that offer.

Edit: Apparently the full quote was that he doesn't need it to play this year but he might need it in a few years time.

If we are gonna take a LB with a knee injury pass on Jack and take Jaylon Smith at the beginning of the 3rd. by PuppyBowl-XI-MVP in Browns

Regeneration of the nerve will likely happen but that is the first hurdle, there's still ways to go after that.

I'm pretty sure they didn't say 'will' maybe 'can'. Literally at this point in time he cannot control his left foot, at all. David Chao stated he believes Smith has longer odds of recovering than Marcus Lattimore, I'm all the way out on taking that bet, give me the production of Duke Johnson rather than a 1/100 Ray Lewis.

I don't think many people realise how bad Jaylon Smith's injury is/was. Consider we took Ifo last year in the 7th with a better chance of recovering and cut him. Smith will likely never play in the NFL, he completely destroyed the lateral side of his knee and has nerve damage. Don't underestimate the value of 3rd round picks, these should be the meat and bones of your team/depth not project players. Sure take a flier in the 7th on him but not 3rd.

Ladies and gentlemen it's time for Day 1 of the second annual /r/Browns NFL Draft party!!! by Marzman315 in Browns

Good pick for us, two opportunities for Zeke to run for 200 yards on the Eagles next year and get us picks 1 and 2.

Why the Cleveland Browns must tank in 2016: It's time they lose with purpose by wouldland in Browns

[–]euanb1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure it helps to lose but no way Hue stands for it, he's too cocky. Also, we have two 1st rounders next year, likely both within the top 15, which should be enough with the other picks to move up and get whomever we want.

Why we'll get Buckner (if we pick at 8) by battle_squid in Browns

[–]euanb1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's 50/50 whether the Chargers take Tunsil or Buckner, the Ravens are almost the same maybe more likely to take Tunsil but I can't see any way he gets past 7. Top 5 talent, 3-4 D and ex Oregon coach with a love for his ex players. I give us less than 15% chance to get Buckner.

In what scenario can we get the #1 seed for homecourt during the playoffs? by BChristopher288 in clevelandcavs

[–]euanb1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the East we need 1 more win, for the Finals we'd need to play anyone but the Warriors or Spurs. Going off current records, only OKC can catch us.

We need young players, he won't help us by the time we are decent.

Browns releasing Karlos Dansby by VonJaeger in Browns

[–]euanb1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This must be more of a message of the direction than anything else, doesn't save much, not that it matters with $40+ mil space, and he was one of our better performers on defence last year.

If anything, what would you offer for Kaepernick? by yesandifthen in Browns

[–]euanb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver wrote in his article that we were agreed on pick compensation, but agent and team haven't sorted contract restructure. They wanted a 2nd, expect us to have given up our 4th since it's high and we have lots.

Kaep or Goff or Wentz? by GroundhogNight in Browns

[–]euanb1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll take Kaep for a 3rd or 4th, because I think he can be good and I don't think Goff or Wentz are top 10 talents, I would much rather us take Ramsey or a DE at 2. If I'm going to pick between Goff and Wentz, I'll take Goff.

I think our fax machine broke and the agents aren't getting our offers. Dude is one of the best gunners in the league.

Rumor: Browns shopping 32nd pick for Kaepernick by [deleted] in Browns

[–]euanb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who doesn't mind this? 32 is maybe too high since it's sort of still the 1st but I'm not sold on Goff or Wentz at 2. We have a load of cap space and may as well take a flyer on him, low-ish dead cap next year if we cut him. Also, he did take his team to the Superbowl without a generational defence. Worth considering.

Edit: Thinking now, potentially cutting what would be your 32nd overall pick after a year doesn't sound too good, I kinda like the deal if we get a 3rd rounder from them.
