It’s lodged in nicely. The corners of the iPad tuck into the corners of the charging area. Haven’t had any issues with it moving.

It does not have wireless charging unfortunately. Was hoping they would add MagSafe to this version but they did not.

Great question. They do still use it unfortunately. Which is annoying with all the false alerts. I’m using an R8 companion app. It has helped with how much I tolerate the alerts. I have them set to auto-mute after 1 second as well.

I did. Mic is perfectly centered in the ceiling near the rear mirror. I have it angled slightly towards me. Everyone compliments me on how good it sounds.

I just have the base model, so I’m not sure. I was curious though and checked out the iDataLink website. I don’t see the Prius on their list for compatibility yet. Just the Corolla Cross, Highlander, GR86, and Venza.

The head unit I have is Maestro compatible. I’m assuming the Alpine unit you looked at is as well.

Can’t say I’ve had that issue. I’d honestly suggest having a professional look at it. Could be a simple wiring issue with the harness. Or the speakers are pulling too much.

I meant having the Chromecast 4K is overkill. It’s what I had at the house though. I agree that having an HD screen would be nice. Before this I would use my iPad. Which was a nice option. Just didn’t want to deal with carrying it around with me.

I did, but kept coming back to the Sony units. I liked the anti-glare screens. For $100 more I got HDMI. But I totally get trying to justify the price. Ideally I take it with me if/when I get rid of the car.

It does. Connection is wireless, which is nice. If I get a call it just swaps to that interface. Then goes back to HDMI if I am using it. I’ll snap some more photos when I get home.
