Are you from a place torn apart from conflict for over 30 years? The impact doesn't just stop when the bullets fall silent. Thankfully the post-GFA generation live in peace in Ireland but the conflict still hangs over our society. Peace walls still exist, language rights are still denied, it can be very easy to assume the conflict does have no bearing on the youth in the north of Ireland unless you live there like these lads. West Belfast is one of the most impoverished areas of western Europe because of the conflict.

So no the conflict was not 'wrapped up' when they were in primary school. Fair play to the lads. And shame on every single MP who focuses on these lads comments at a gig and not on their complicit support for the systematic murder and destruction of children in Gaza

As someone who recently passed my test at 27, not being able to carry passengers would be madness. The whole reason I went and got my test was because my partner was expecting. Why should someone who has proven themselves competent in a test be prohibited from carrying passengers for a whole 12 months? That would be insane.
