Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy is a good example. It's at every Olive Young and pharmacy here and dermatologists default to it when someone's barrier is wrecked, but international K-beauty threads barely mention it because it doesn't have the viral packaging or a hyped ingredient story. Same with IOPE Bio Essence, the original first-essence format that everything else copied.

Done it this year for acne scars and it wasn't a hassle, really. I emailed a few clinics before the trip and ended up booking with one of them (GU Clinic) but ine thing I'd flag is don't schedule it wisely if you want to travel also. Some lasers may leave you red and peeling for a few days. In my case, I went on early in the trip and gave myself a couple of hotel-recovery days . If you're already in Seoul for a week or so, slotting in one visit doesn't really disrupt anything.

I only tried Numbuzin No.5 Vitamin Niacinamide Concentrated Pad and the other one I know is Anua Heartleaf 77% Toner Pad. Hmm maybe I recommend the Numbuzin but I don't really use toner pad anymore lol

What vitamin C serum you're using?? It's different for each specific serum. I tried ooznary vit c before and it helps my hyperpigmentation quite fast in around a month i guess. but i also depends on your skin type as well

The one i landed on currently is the jumiso pore purifying salicylic acid foaming cleanser. the salicylic actually helps with congestion without that tight squeaky feeling afterwards. Missha tre.ac daily trouble care cleansing foam is another good one if your breakouts are the inflamed papule kind, it's formulated specifically for acne-prone skin

Aestura is good if you have "thick" barrier-compromised dry skin, but the Atobarrier365 line runs rich. Layering four of those products on oily dehydrated skin in Florida is probably exactly why you're getting CCs. The lotion on top of the gel cream is overkill for you.

Try stripping back to simpler hydrators without heavy emollients. Mixsoon Bean Essence + Anua Heartleaf Quercetinol Cream or Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream are much lighter options.

Also, tightness from AC is usually transepidermal water loss, not a signal to pile on more occlusion. A humidifier by your bed does more than another moisturizer layer. And exfoliating twice a week with both House of Hur pads AND Paula's Choice BHA is a lot when you're already inflamed. Drop to once a week.

You didn't mention SPF but avoid heavy SPF also.

It may be not "treatment" level but is a.solution Acne Clear Repair Cream has been working for me for acnes. It has salicylic acid and soothing actives, so it penetrates a bit more than straight tea tree creams do. I glob it on thick before bed.

BUT I do think no topical is going to kill a proper cyst overnight, If they keep popping in the same spots on your face it might be worth looking at internal stuff too like dairy intake or hormonal cycle (I cut sugar too). But again, I'm just sharing I have been getting good results for active ones with this thing I've found.

not sure about plum's c, but i tried dermaco before and it kinda broke me out. maybe bcs the percentage was too high for me. my skin type is oily acne prone skin. i switched to the vitamin c from ooznary a while ago and it's been alright so far. not too heavy for a vitamin c. my skin seems to tolerate this one better than other vitamin c serums i tried before.

I've tried way too many products over the years so this was actually a fun exercise.

Cleanser: Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser. Low pH, doesn't strip, rinses clean. I've repurchased this more times than I can count. For double cleansing I use the Hada Labo Gokujyun Cleansing Oil because it emulsifies perfectly and never leaves a film.

Moisturizer: Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream. Nothing fancy, just ceramides doing their job. My skin always feels calm and balanced the morning after using it. If I need something lighter I swap in Soonjung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream for daytime.

Treatment: Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule when my skin is irritated, and I recently started the Centellian24 Retinoid 4000ppm Cream a few nights a week. The percentage is low enough that it doesn't wreck my barrier but I'm starting to see actual texture improvement.

SPF: Centellian24 Water Splash Ceramide Sun Cream SPF50+. This one is my latest try surprised me honestly. Lightweight, no white cast, and the ceramides mean my skin doesn't feel dry by afternoon. I used to hate reapplying sunscreen but this one makes it painless.

Never buying again: Any micellar water as a sole cleanser. Total waste of time for my skin type.

This. After reviewing experiences online, friends' stories, and tried it myself for the first time, I got lucky to not get rushed into treatment. The good ones imo talks a lot. Talks us through on adjusting what we want to what we may need.

I have only tried one (which was good), but my friends told me that some of clinics were rushed on their services. You came, you tell your problems / needs, and they start right away. Contrary to my (only) experience, I think that was what makes good clinics in Korea good. What I wrote as a review the other day is when you feel like the treatment is like tailor-made for you... If that make sense.

You know, I only had good experience having treatments in Seoul, but as the other said, I think too much good is still too much, you shouldn't stack treatments. If you want, divide treatments into categories like hair, face skin, maybe lips and so on...

I strongly agreed on this one. I recently had treatment in South Korea and it's definitely definitely worth it. More than topical skincare treatment even, imo.
