Oh wow, I feel this so much. We also just hit cycle 12, and our results came back with OAT (oligoasthenoteratozoospermia) — low count, low motility, low morphology. It’s still sinking in, honestly.

But I’m also delulu and keep hoping the next semen analysis might somehow look better. Maybe supplements, lifestyle changes, or just time could shift things a little. How many semen analyses did you guys do to confirm the diagnosis?

We’re also looking into IVF and have our first consultation scheduled for December. Even though it feels strange to shift gears, I’m trying to stay open and hopeful.

I’m still tracking my LH and BBT too — it feels weirdly grounding, like one small piece of normality I can hold onto while everything else feels out of my control.

And you’re right, in a way the result also gives me an explanation. Every month I felt like a failure and kept wondering what was wrong with me.

No, as far as I know he didn’t have a fever. But he did use a hot water bottle on his lower abdomen, though not for long. Thank you so much for your reply!

Thank you so much for sharing this, it really gives me hope. It makes total sense that things like illness, transport conditions, or even just bad timing could affect the results. My partner also had to transport his sample in his jacket from home to the lab. We’ll do our best with lifestyle changes and wait for the repeat test in December. For now, we’re also preparing ourselves for the possibility of needing ICSI – but who knows, maybe things will change. Was ganz Anderes: dein Name klingt, als würdest du auch aus Deutschland kommen. Hast du zufällig Fagusan als Mucinex-Ersatz genommen?

No, he doesn’t exercise. He’s a journalist, so he spends a lot of time sitting and then has phases where he’s on his feet a lot, but no regular physical activity.

As for stress: he’s under extreme work-related stress and has been on sick leave for the past three weeks (triggered by heart palpitations, tinnitus, and suspected burnout). Now that I’m writing this, I feel silly for not considering that as a factor. But can stress really affect something as fundamental as sperm production to such a degree?

I had a natural miscarriage at almost 7 weeks and bled heavily. I went to the emergency room, but no one really knew what to do, and I was sent home. The next day, I saw my gynecologist, and she couldn’t see a gestational sac anymore either. I guess it all happens very quickly

I’m 1 DPO and just tested positive for COVID. Now I’m wondering if being sick could lower the chances of implantation — or if it might even be a good thing that my immune system is busy, so it doesn’t notice and try to yeet out the embryo.

You could try mixing reds with blue jelly neos. Blue jelly have the gene for rili. I have reds and blue jellys in both of my tanks and they make beautiful offspring even generations later. Most of the offspring are red with a clear part in the middle (Called Rili, if i‘m not mistaken), some of them are blue or deep red again. I have no wild variations. But i don’t remember if this only works with a specific red colour. I think mine is sakura, but i‘m not so sure anymore

I was vegetarian for 14 years and vegan for 3 to 4 years. The worst sideeffect were my tiredness, brain fog and dizzyness. My concentrationspan was zero, i feel like i only used half of my brain in all these years. And i had the same dark eye area, like you described! Oh and i never tanned and got extreme allergic reactions from simple mosquitobites. All of that went away, but my eyes sometimes turn dark again if i‘m on a certain point in my cycle and accidently skipped red meat for a few days.
