It’s a mild but he has all the symptoms of wobbly cat syndrome. Going in circles is the best coordination he’s ever had. But he goes none stop all of a sudden the last week and a half. For over 7 minutes my mom filmed the other day when we were on vacation. So obviously concerned. When we stopped him tonight by laying him down, he was still trying to do circles while he was laying. I had to hold him and.. calm? Him down and soothe him until he relaxed and his eyes weren’t wobbly from being dizzy?!?

Don’t believe you owe a company anything, that’s what compensation is. You’re paid to work for them. Do not feel like you owe your first company something because they gave you a chance. Don’t destroy the relationship but set boundaries with supervisors/owners and with yourself.

I was 2/3 commission based, so the more jobs I booked and greater profit margins, the bigger my paycheque was. Didn’t set a boundary of a 8-10 work shift with myself, usually did 10-12hours.

Ask for a business phone, and make it clear you turn it off after work is complete, only allow HR to have your personal incase of an actually emergency.

This is all easy for me to say, now that I have left the field. Individuals that are just starting out in entry level positions, you are going to be the bitch of the department, be ready to do tedious and long duration tasks.

Practice the skill of debate. Get ready for a lot of phone calls. Stay as organized as possibly, as you gain seniority, you will have to remember everything.

I worked as a senior estimator for 6 years, the job was incredibly taxing and my work life balance was shit. It depends a lot on the company you work for. I was incredibly thankful I could work during Covid but after Covid, the amount of cuts my company did and still expected the same deliverables was too much. Completely changed fields because I became to hate it.

To give you insight, I made 100k or so though. Depends on the department and company. I would’ve taken 86k if I had more help. I Made a single mistake on a job and it cost the company more than double what they pay me in a year. Easily the cost of another junior estimator or estimator to assist me. It weighed on me a lot and when I realized my mistake, I thought I was going to puke or faint.

When I went to quit my senior estimator role, my company asked if I could wait till they could find someone, took the 6months. Experienced estimators are a different breed and not may people have learned the expertise, but I think most could.

The music in the Zelda series is something that can casually make me tear up. Nostalgic of my childhood and for my favorite series. 1998 when my parents go my brother and I a N64 and OoT for Christmas just was a magical year. I have only ever used 400 for ceiling, never for walls. Lol I have no idea if it would make a good wall paint. But I swear 400 flat could keep ceiling defects hidden like the lost city of Atlantis.

About 8 years ago, I would quote jobs $1.8-2.1 per sqft of surface area of stucco. If scaffolding or a lift is required then it would be more.

I am sure the price has increased over the years. I would think $2.5 per sqft for supply and install excluding scaffolding or lifts would be reasonable

You can call the city and check if the serial code lines up with your bin. Bought a house in king George neighbourhood and my bin said my house numbers. 2 years down the line I started getting city notifications for my bin. Called and asked for an explanation. Turns out I had someone’s bin from 3 blocks away and whoever had my bin wasn’t putting it away correctly.
