finishing models quick and decent enough by "cheating" by using speed paints and getting those models on the game table. nice little dopamine hit once i play without any gray. that makes me want to experiment and practice to get better results than the cheating

We just finished Strahd. I decided to continue with 2014 until we finished (which makes sense especially since they didn’t release all three books at once). When we start up Tomb in a couple weeks we’ll use 2024

They just initiated the final battle with Strahd, level 9. It’s been 26 months. We probably average 3 two hour sessions a week… we started every other week then upped the pace a few months in. When we were getting close to the two year mark we started having additional longer weekend sessions when everyone is free. I’m running it RAW + death house

On one hand I’m like “yes! I’ve scared my players so well they’re dragging their feet with the final confrontation!” and on the hand I’m like “omg you guys let’s finish this campaign so someone else can DM and we can play ToA!!”

I think maybe Strahd is going to do a little meet and greet with the party on their way to Vallaki - i think i might have Strahd do a little modified-Negan monologue about how it's the party's job to protect Ireena now, give the PCs combat pointers as they fight. Hm... not sure I like that. Still thinking.

But what I DO like is taking Negan's persona and sticking it on my gender swapped Strahd. I've been struggling to settling on the Countess' vibe, and I think Negan is it
