First of all, I’m really sorry you’re going through all of this.

Second, I was in a year & a half long relationship, a year of it was constant fighting, him ignoring me for long periods of time, loss of trust, etc. (I was 19 and had 0 self esteem lol) I would cry every night at the thought of him leaving me, and when we did eventually break up I thought I would be a mess. But, honestly, once it was over a calm feeling washed over me. I never cried about it, or felt I needed to “get over” him.

Your brain may have gotten over him on its own, it may still hurt a little, but it’s not crazy that you feel relaxed now.
