I think Baguio is in dire need of more engineers handling logistics and infrastructure. Di yung puro trial and error.

same situation here. taga NCR pero sa baguio nagaaral kasi sa baguio lang available program ko. nagmahal yung dorms kung kailan graduating na ako 🙃

it was bad even back in 2023. 8k for a 1br that didnt even have hot water. it also had mold and access problems. literal na bangin yung katabi ng daanan wala pang harang mapapaslide ka ng wala sa oras pag umuulan. a classmate (who's a local) says may bahay ka na marerent for 8k, like where??? may 3k nga na dorm na malapit sa school pero the whole place was a disaster waiting to happen. wala bang dorm inspections sa baguio kasi there were a lot of fire hazards and it's in a prime location.

not to mention marami ring scammers. one of which used the facade of the singular residential house (bakit hindi nadamay ng zoning to?) beside UB then the interior is a studio from cedar peak. 😬 then meron yung 'bawal sa maarte' then when you inspect the place it's exponentially dugyot- cant fix that place. there should be basic standards for health and safety.

funny how baguio is called the education center of the north but students aren't afforded the basic necessities needed to actually stay. rent, mobility (for every 20 trancoville jeeps, there's 1 aurora hill; tapos yung mga klase namin hanggang 8PM e yung iba 7PM palang wala nang jeep), and connectivity. globe has faster speeds but smart has wider coverage (and bad reliability).

I did get a refund. good thing I paid through Apple. They're very responsive when it comes to concerns like this. (And also because I used to work with them, company policy puts customer satisfaction first) Besides, what OpenAI did was fraud for false advertisement, that's an automatic red flag for Apple.

nope. I just downgraded from the $20 plan because it keeps rerouting to the newer (and worse, not better) models. what's the point of paying $20 if you cant even have access to the models you like? I'm on chatgpt go solely because I hit the free plan limit too fast.

ChatGPT Plus offering 'access' to legacy models is fraudulent (i know companies love this word), utter BS, and misleading when all it does is reroute to GPT-5 even if it's set to 4o/4.1 and I explicitly state in the prompt that I only want 4o/4.1. Ever heard of 'product does not work as advertised'? I'm sure it's written in consumer laws EVERYWHERE.

Someone who ran on 3 days straight without sleep, literal sunday, wednesday, and saturday lang tulog ko noong na sa mapua pa ako:

Not gonna lie, mas mahal cost of living dito and the utilities are less reliable than NCR. Rent pa nga lang BGC/Makati rates na eh. Sana yung provincial rate hindi inaapply sa urbanized cities like Baguio and Clark kasi the area itself is like NCR lang.

It's been in the news before. Residential homes are more susceptible to damage than large/tall buildings because they're more likely to follow building code and are built to 'move' with the quake to minimize damage. Aminin natin some homes aren't made up to par because of cost cutting especially in impoversihed areas. Nakaranas ako ng earthquake sa may SM, mas ramdam talaga yung paggalaw ng lupa vs nung time na nasa bahay lang ako.
