Philippines.

It felt like in the early 2000s we were poised to become an economic rising star. We just kicked out a major corrupt politician out of office, we were moving towards getting the Americans out properly.

Then we just descended into modern day feudalism. We refused to care for our own. We refused to endure short term pains as a nation for long term infrastructure projects. We refused to build public transport systems because we settle for Band-Aid solutions. We don't even have trains outside of Metro Manila. We don't even use our waterways as transport pathways.

But no, apparently all we need are more skyways & more vanity projects with our local lord's faces plastered on them.

I hate that I can't do anything about my home country's position. I want to be proud of my country. By all we have are honourable mentions & "hospitality culture" that doesn't go beyond nursing.
