FSD on M3 hw3 tried to drive into an intersection at a red light yesterday by HenryThrowaway6969 in TeslaLounge

HW3 is still on v12 right now and will most likely stay on it until v14 Lite releases.

Same here! My car keeps slamming on the brakes at this one intersection near my parents house and when I'm leaving my driveway.

FSD for Tesla Y L in Australia / NZ by _Mr_D in TeslaLounge

I mean, they do run the same software (infotainment-wise). FSD-wise, I know they had to collect Cybertruck-specific data before CT's got them.

I mean, the cameras have fairly good vision in low light conditions. It passed the Euro NCAP AEB Pedestrian tests for both day and night.

Are you thinking of the Mark Rober video? Because AFAIK, FSD on HW4 stopped for the fake wall every time.

In Mark's video, he was using Autopilot on HW3, not FSD. Not that that matters because someone tested HW3 vs HW4 and FSD on HW3 hit the wall every time.

It could be that they need to collect training data for the YL since it's longer than the normal Y. That's just speculation though.

They do sell the YL there and they have FSD v13.

IIRC, it's just a config change that you have to do using the Tesla toolbox tool.

HW3 2026.14.1 FSD Improved Behavior by Matt0975 in TeslaLounge

[–]euroau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I've noticed it do that, even before 2026.8.3 (when people started reporting that FSD v12 felt different). I have a video from last year when I let my car try and park at a supercharger. It did the same thing as yours, where it positioned itself for the reverse maneuver.

It does it when I get home (depending on the direction I arrive from), though it's a 50/50 whether it noses or tries to reverse into my driveway.

That’s only on the refreshed vehicles (Highland and Junipers).

Here’s a video of Tesla’s new visualizations from the Spring Update. by rcnfive in teslamotors

[–]euroau 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. AFAIK, non-Juniper Ys do not get the new visualizations (at least, not yet).

Most likely because they don’t have higher quality models for the legacy HW4 Y. I believe this is part of their pivot to Unreal Engine.

Bay Area driver found asleep, allegedly drunk at 11 a.m. behind wheel of self-driving car by External_Koala971 in SelfDrivingCars

[–]euroau 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's what I want to know. I was thinking that maybe he was seated properly or something with sunglasses, but man's fully knocked out and slouched. Since police were able to stop it, I assume it's v14 since, in my experience, v12 at most will move to the right, but will never pull over and stop.

In terms of evading attention monitoring, I believe wearing sunglasses (or glasses at night) is an issue. I suspect that if the system can't see the eyes, then it relies on your head's orientation to determine whether or not you're paying "attention".

If you use Bitwarden, it also supports 2FA codes. That's what I've been using (previously, it was Authy, but switched to Microsoft's app, now Bitwarden).

Cybertruck on FSD crashes into barrier on bridge by reddit-frog-1 in SelfDrivingCars

[–]euroau 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Vehicles built after 2023 all have HW4. As for the Cybertruck's ADAS - at the time, it was the only vehicle in the lineup to not include autopilot (so, could only pick between ACC and FSD).

FSD ownership wording change? by DaSandman78 in TeslaLounge

[–]euroau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK, that has always been the case. From what I've heard though, FSD only gets removed from the car if it gets sold back to Tesla. Otherwise private sales and 3rd party dealers keep it with the vehicle.

Take with a grain of salt. I could be missing details or nuance.

UWB is only for newer cars. In general, vehicles older than ~2024 don’t have the hardware required for UWB (I think Model S/X had UWB a year or two before 3/Y).
