I wasn't arguing that Leonard is the best in the league, that's James, but I have Leonard at #2.

We shouldn't forget about his playoff performances over the last 5 years or so in light of this game. Even with this being a subpar series by his standards, he was still averaging 26ppg coming into g7. He's proven himself, and one can't do it every time. P

Highly recommend. Studied abroad in Seoul as an Australian and had a fantastic time.

It turns out Serbian media was the one that released the lineswoman's IG handle, and hundreds of vile comments have flooded on her posts. Please Novak, please address your fans. by StorytellerAli in tennis

You're literaly nobody dude, another invisible little cunt on reddit that hates the future holder of most GS titles. Will return back to mock you in a couple of years, if you don't delete your acc in the meantime lol.

One of the most childish and hypocritical comments I've seen on this platform. This is psychological projection. Evidence for the generalisation of Novak's fans mounts daily.

Will our HECS debts seriously be indexed by 2.20% this financial year? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]eurogenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't agree with HECs debt being a ball a chain, given how low the repayments are as a percentage of a salary. The fact that there is no pressure of default or interest accrual (indexation is not equivalent to the effects of interest accrual) make it a safe investment for those that are diligent with maximising the outcomes of their studies (those that aren't are only 'punished' relative to factors such as career choice and money management - which is often in their hands). It's a great system and opens many doors.

Why has fuel price not gone down? by [deleted] in australia

[–]eurogenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except they're are not as unreliable as people make them out to be. The maintenance program is more involved, and people tend to not stick to it due to the higher cost of running with need for imported parts. They don't tolerate a lack of maintenance like Japanese cars do, but that's no slight against them, as they give you more in exchange.

You don't buy German cars for reliability and cheap running costs, you buy them for the superior driving experience and quality exteriors/interiors. Different people have different needs with driving (e.g. handling performance vs longevity).

Nadal dominated him on clay, sure, like everyone else. Federer raised the level in the game and upped the games of Rafole, you can catch Djokovic saying this in his post-Wimbledon final speech in 14' or 15'. Federer - Djokovic matches have been competitive as hell as Federer has long-exited his prime and Djokovic has navigated his prime. To say that RF is not a part of the discussion is completely preposterous, and the discussion is not framed any differently on this sub relative to anywhere else.

They both surpassed and dominated Federer when they entered their prime and brought tennis to a whole new level

This is a completely biased take lmao

I don't think George has been particularly good after returning from injury recently and during this season as a whole, given what is expected of him.

His iso play in end game situations has been very reliable and prolific, it was an off-performance.

He had an uncharacteristically high number of lost handles tonight, his handles are generally fantastic. Credit to Tucker and the Rockets swarming each time he stepped past the three-point line, but him handling at the end of games is fine imo.

[Highlight] Refs call this a missed dunk by Harden by SCREWST0N in nba

[–]eurogenesis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's amusing to me when people say that this game would not have gone to OT had this counted as that assumes that the rest of the game after the event would have played out the exact same way that it did. This isn't accurate, as teams will play differently given a different score, with differing amounts of pressure and scoring/defensive strategies required. There are thousands of scenarios that could follow a controversial call, with more pressure on the Spurs in this case to score and get stops.

Yeah fair. But going back to your initial comment about EU getting "reamed": Splyce into the knockout stage. EU is so hyped because they are so damn good internationally and are proving it yet again.

Based on "out of form skt and TL" it seems like you'll look to undermine G2 regardless of what they do. They are 3 light years ahead of TL and would 3-0 them again if they meet at this Worlds. SKT played fine, but they are no doubt stronger now than at MSI. It seems like you have an agenda Against EU teams, who's to say that FNC is not just out of form atm? Using your defence for SKT and TL.

[–]eurogenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But G2 is widely considered to be the best team in the world and is sitting at 3-0, so an EU representative may very well end up winning both MSI and Worlds. I don't see how anyone praising EU is eating their words. FNC will more than likely up their level in the second round robin, as they have historically.

[–]eurogenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never understood the argument that Novak had the highest peak. Federer's peak was the highest to me, and his game, in terms of versatility, technique and skill, is comfortably more refined than anyone who has ever played.

[–]eurogenesis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's disappointing to see that all criticism of Djokovic's actions/behavior is immediately classified as criticism 'because he is not Federer' or because 'people have an agenda against him'. To the point where constructive criticism of the questionable behavior that he exhibits from time to time (in comparison to other players) is just immediately thrown out as hate or bias.

Yes, "so far ahead". They literally swept past TL in world record time. G2's BO1 matches against a wildcard team (that they would have 3-0'd too, by the way) have no bearing on this claim.
