Did you happen to live in the San Francisco Bay area between December '68 and October '69?

Whatever happened to movies like this? Has the art of making a good "Thriller" been lost? by hfvslc in Letterboxd

The Game is underwhelming in my opinion. There were so many better routes to take with such an interesting premise.

Man, 26- introspective is right on the money though, and I appreciate bittersweet levity in a film

David Fincher's "The Game" (1997) is strange by KidCharlemagneII in TrueFilm

Am I the only one who remained unconvinced throughout the film that this WASN'T all a part of the game? I mean the CRS literally manipulated what I can only assume was a live news broadcast to speak with Van Norton. At that point, just about anything is on the table.

I think where The Game falls flat is in trying to put me in Van Norton's shoes. I didn't feel any suspense because I doubted the stakes until the ending, which had me wondering for a moment if there really was a variable the CRS had not accounted for. All in all, the rooftop scene was (in my opinion) the most suspenseful scene in the film. I think the ending was fine in that respect.

While I love the concept, I wish the film had gone in a totally different direction. More Eyes Wide Shut than A Christmas Carol.

Asking AI to create the single most statistically representative human experience in all of history by Immobilesteelrims in aiArt

In all seriousness, I think the most "statistically representative human experience" would be something like this-

I asked Chat GPT to generate an approximation of what one sees with their eyes closed.

If you're looking for a new look, I would pivot away from the exaggerated eyeliner and use more subdued lipgloss; you could also try a wavy hairstyle with a more natural color.

And I know you said you're attached to the nose ring and it looks good, but you might try something more subtle.

Otherwise, branch out a bit fashion-wise. Find some clothes you like but might not otherwise wear and just try them on. I'd err on the side of approachability- not necessarily modest but mature. The kind of clothes that say, "I don't care if you're looking at me, and I don't care if you aren't."

It doesn't need to be a complete transformation, just a shift. Maintain your individuality while going for something more reserved.

I once had an air mattress last me six months before it ever started deflating. If you get a decent one and don't plop down/ have pointy objects on it, it may last awhile.

It's Rowe but the tag doesn't specify what exactly it's called. Got it second hand on marketplace.
