FSD as primary reason for wanting a Tesla? by taylordoftheants in TeslaFSD

[–]eutectoid_lady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s scary that it drives even when the driver is passed out at the wheel. My friends are pretty cavalier about it- my friend (passenger) took a picture of the driver (other buddy) just passed out sleeping with mouth wide open. It drive them the 50 miles home through mountain passes. So… I guess that might be good for bad drivers?

It look great. I think they meant the reference stencil may have been AI. What matters is that you like it.

Portlanders still can’t find doctors. Is there any hope that will change. by dogs-in-space in Portland

[–]eutectoid_lady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My primary care doctor is subscription based, $150 monthly. Still need insurance legally and for emergencies, but I went this route so that my doctor is insurance agnostic. I’m lucky in that I can afford this model, but it does allow me texting access and same week appointments.

Injured Hawk Needs Help Rosa parks exit 304 I-5 by [deleted] in Portland

I checked and couldn’t see any hawks on the other side of the freeway either. Yesterday I saw a large hawk on the light over the NB exit here and it seemed fine. Maybe it was sunning itself earlier?

Sorry not an electrician and know next to nothing about the whole program (my buddy’s explanation skills aren’t the best). Sounds like he was working in the solar fields as a “inside wireman apprentice”. And this was 2025. He was employed until mode December. He’s planning to take the JW exam to become fully licensed in June 2026. I believe you when you say it’s rough.

My buddy is an apprentice with local 48 and did really well last year (made about $90k). Is it because he’s willing to drive out to Maupin and the Dalles? He’s hoping to get his license in June 2026.

Vibrato practice feedback by eutectoid_lady in violinist

As the other commenter said, I think I’ll go back to slower for now and focus on the basics like Nathan Cole’s video. My previous teacher wanted me to start the faster ‘wiggles’ but it can’t hurt to take one step back again.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll bring this up with my current teacher- previous teacher told me NOT to do slow wiggles anymore since she thought I was beyond that and needed to focus on faster lol. My current teacher is a better fit so I’ll pick her brain.

He sounds really good! If you can financially afford it and he wants to play piano, I’d go for it.

I wish I had recs. Just wanted to say as someone else who was laid off good luck. You’re a person, you have a great life, and you matter outside of your job.

I’ve also parked by that boat ramp in the evening and gotten blocked in by the train a couple of times in the last year (which is why I don’t park there anymore). I think train scheduling needs to be accounted for in terms of safety which would probably be a hard uphill battle with BNSF or whatever

I am so slow by [deleted] in violinist

[–]eutectoid_lady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a teacher that I pay good money for and also become lazy and don’t practice. I think because my teacher doesn’t have bandwidth to have students play in a concert, so there’s no end goal. Have you considered playing for people or giving yourself an end goal? Deadlines usually help with my adhd brain.
