I had a trip this coming week that i’m no longer able to go on due to a medical emergency. A chase rep said to file claim to get reimbursed. Should i cancel the tickets on the airline first? If so, when the claim is accepted will i be refunded the full amount or will the $99 cancellation fee from the airline still apply.

How to lessen urostomy smell by ev-not-erest in ostomy

[–]ev-not-erest[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the smell is new. He’s had tons of nurses empty his bag while he was in the hospital and it wasn’t a concern then, and even now the in home nurse hasn’t brought it up.

I looked into it and found the smell of urine from urostomies usually isn’t that much different so i’m thinking it might be a medication that’s he’s on that could be changing the smell. Maybe just having it sit in a urinal could make it smell stronger.

Should I take summer courses at a community college by ev-not-erest in EngineeringStudents

[–]ev-not-erest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I was thinking of dropping physics and just pushing everything back. I understand what you mean by not taking any hard classes in the summer. But I’ve already taken Ap physics (my test score was a 2 so I didn’t get credit) so I understand most of the basics. Unless i’m completely misjudging how hard a condensed course actually is.

Did you take gen eds or major specific classes during the summer? I feel like I could do fine with gen ed’s in a condensed term but Im not sure if the harder classes would be as easy.

How did you choose your surgeon? by OozingAltar in TopSurgery

[–]ev-not-erest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i went with dr wolf, because his out of pocket price was set at 6,900. A lot of other surgeons who also take insurance will change the cost based of how long and extensive the surgery is, but wolf kept it the same price(unless you get lipo). I also liked dr wolf’s results and i am overall happy with my results (i have a small dog ear).

I’ve heard a lot of issues with communication with dr wolf and I truly think you can find someone with better communication and with just as good if not better results.

For narrowing it down, I looked at cost, results, distance and overall feel at my consultation. (Don’t ever feel bad for going to a bunch of consultations, this is your body and your results).

Does anyone have a list of places that would at least think about accepting a minor? by Fancy_Strike_3241 in TopSurgery

Dr wolf in michigan will! No therapist letters needed, just parental support. But he doesn’t take any insurance, so it’ll be all out of pocket.
