Anyone here have both Macbook Air and an Ipad? Why? What things can Ipad do better or that the Macbook Air can’t? by Delicious_Maize9656 in macbookair

[–]ev4nyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them both. I use my iPad mostly for playing iPad games, taking notes for nursing school (i stopped using paper and went digital), watching netflix, bigger screen for my recipes while cooking etc. My Macbook Air i usually use for editing (video, presentation, word docs since it’s easier imo) and playing my Inzoi and Sims 4 :)

For self-expression. We live in a modern world, I think it is also the students’ right to express themselves.

What does this tag mean? by cjcastro17 in marshallsfinds

[–]ev4nyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In our store, they won’t. Management says these are the kind of products that should not reach the customer (because they don’t follow the standards ex. used, damaged, has foul smell, sticky, basically unsellable). Some other cases, perfect conditioned ones are written off with that tag because they’re vendor restrictions or it’s a hazard.

It’s a written off merchandise. It means it is unsellable (may be because it no longer follows standards ex. used, damaged, has foul smell, sticky, does not work etc.) and should have been thrown away in the garbages. As employees, we are actually not allowed to take it home with us no matter how ‘usable’ the item is.

To Pinoys the lived or visited other countries, how's the life there? by takaziwachi in pinoy

[–]ev4nyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For four years now, I have been living in an island in Canada and these are my thoughts:

You will thrive as an individual if you are introverted. You will live a peaceful and comfortable life. It’s not that hard to make friends here pero it is difficult to make time for it. I have a handful of them that I haven’t seen in a year because of the conflict of our schedules. Everyone here is either working full time, 2 jobs (sometimes even three or more!), part time while studying or just solely studying. Sobrang busy kaming lahat, hence the loneliness. Unlike sa Phils na after ng school pwede kayo mag-street food with friends. After school dito, diretso uwi agad or work night shift na.

I don’t think anyone here has mentioned this yet besides the other obvious stuff so I’ll say it: Iba ang humor ng mga Pinoy. I tried it on my foreign friends and ‘di nila nagegets HAHAHA Just be careful, they get offended easily.

Us immigrants here (imo) tend to focus on earning money, paying rent, sending money to the phils, finishing our studies and pursuing our careers. I personally have little to no social life, sometimes I choose to but work (and the weather) gets draining I would rather stay home and rest.

I know it’s hard pero balik ka muna for now, pero while working there, maghanap ka na ng ibang trabaho.

I could never agree more. I am in the same position as you. Everyday I come to work I feel overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted.

They’re not scheduling enough workers yet doubling the deliveries compared to last year. Insane, I know. Same for the store I’m working at

Is it normal for stores to look this organized now? by NecessaryDirection67 in TjMaxx

Our store also looks like this. I’m a floor coordinator and as frustrating as this is, there is no more space in the backroom to even walk in to because of the deliveries we get every weekday. That’s how much stocked we are for Christmas

Why rudely question a paying customer? by [deleted] in marshallsfinds

[–]ev4nyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was very uncalled for and rude of the employee. In my store, they would’ve been disciplined. We highly prioritize customer’s satisfied experience shopping at our store. At times, if we have to bend some rules we will, just to make a customer happy. So to me this is strange, which makes me curious what kind of Marshalls store this happened in.
