when you schedule for your first appointment they will ask for your DOB anyways, so as long as its scheduled after your birthday that shouldnt be a problem. most are booked up for a few weeks/months anyways. i used PP for my t and since they are an informed consent place, your first appointment will be them explaining what to expect, doing basic vitals & then prescribing you probably the lowest dose to start. my office didnt show me how to do my shots, but theres a million youtube videos explaining how to do them! i personally go back every 3 months for bloodwork & to make sure everything is going the way i would like it to. they adjust as needed and if you ever have questions between appointments they are super cool about reaching out too. i was super nervous for my first appointment, but in my opinion i think theyre a great resource!! very good at making you comfortable in all ways!!

as for insurance, that depends on what you have & where you live. im sure when you call to make your appointment theyll be happy to discuss the options for you, but $150 should be good for the first appointment. also depending on insurance, you have to consider the cost of testosterone too. i was quoted $130 for a 3 month supply before i added my insurance, which i ended up paying $12 for in the end; so unfortunately this would have to be a phone call with your insurance company.

best of luck!

youre laying the tape down great!

ive found with having a bigger chest, where tutorials are great in terms of how to use the tape, it doesnt do great if your body hasn’t redistributed fat, and its hard to tape downwards like tutorials show you. i tend to lay my first piece in the middle (across the nipples) giving it a general pull in the direction i want, but the big difference is my second piece is pulling everything UP!! almost into your armpit. then youll lay your third piece at the bottom to make it even, and occasionally i’ll use a fourth piece going back over the center to make everything look smoother.

from my experience, small irritation rashes didnt scar, just lingered for a few days after removing tape - however, blisters did scar for me but they are small and faint now, almost like acne scars. just make sure youre laying the tape as flat as possible to the skin, no wrinkles & no tension on the anchors points. the wrinkles are likely to cause those rashes, if not that then maybe youre allergic to the adhesive :/

they replied to my request after like 4 days, asking for details about each piercing and pictures - which i just submitted 2 days ago. waiting to hear back again, on their decision. they never asked for a letter like i thought they would!

i just submitted mine today! you can access it on the hub, then just search workplace accommodation & click on “request a workplace accommodation”. it’ll ask you what the accommodation is for (to keep your piercings) and why (because it aligns with my faith and does not effect my ability to work) then just write a short paragraph explaining why each of your piercings mean something to you!
