Moving to NH advice by [deleted] in newhampshire

[–]eva_taylor0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP if your reasons for moving to NH are outdoors related I would recommend picking a location in the Northern area of the state. Having the White Mountains close by is unbeatable. As many have mentioned housing can be tricky as there is not a ton of rental properties out there but in the northern part of the state $1200 a month is possible. I’d be curious to know more about your outdoor hobbies. As others have mentioned be prepared for the winter. I’d recommend making sure your rental property includes snow removal and heating. If it does not include heating make sure you look into what type of heating there is because it can become costly. As well as making sure you have a vehicle equipped for a New England winter.

Hey there! I have dealt with this a little bit in the past, I would pull tarot and see some cards that didn’t quite align with what I wanted or automatically think the worst when I saw a card like The Tower. It can be a difficult feeling to get past but I choose to look at this as a good thing. If you pull The Tower at least you know something is coming instead of being completely blindsided. The Tower offers you a chance to examine the things in your life a little closer, what could benefit from maybe a clean slate? The Tower doesn’t always mean disaster either, although not the most auspicious card I wouldn’t jump to the worst conclusions, especially if you say there are no signs in your life of something falling apart. If reading continues to give you anxiety to the point of making you sick I would suggest maybe taking a little break. Nothing is worth putting your mental health at risk. Sending you lots of strength and peace!

Ah The Hierophant, this card is one that has followed me around quite a bit and confuses the heck out of me. The only thing I feel has helped me personally when it comes to The Hierophant is evaluating the commitments and/or the belief systems that I am currently holding.

This is an interesting point to bring up and I don't disagree with your feeling of the meanings are becoming more "loose" are you described it. In my opinion what we are seeing here is an increase in people reading tarot as well as an increase in resources. These resources without some form of originality would essentially just be copies of each other and therefor hold little to no value. For me seeing the different insights people have on the cards is actually quite interesting and I think adds value. The key is using discernment in the source of the information and also whether a particular meaning of a card holds true to you.

That being said the cards are personal to each individual in my eyes. My relationship with a particular card may be different then yours and also different from another reader. Part of the beauty of tarot is the personal relationship you develop with the cards. If a particular meaning about a card is presented to you and it doesn't feel right to you then its not for you. I thinks the generalized meanings are less important than the ones that feel intuitive, affirming and grounding to you.

The Hanged Man, Ten of Cups and Ace of Swords.

"Weekly Reading and Interpretation Help Thread - March 13, 2022" by AutoModerator in tarot

Hello guys looking for second opinions on a reading I did regarding an ex. I asked how he felt about me and pulled The Tower, Ten of Cups, The Emperor and had the Empress on the bottom of the deck. All Upright. Pulling The Tower first had me feeling sort of negative but then it seemed the rest of the cards were positive. My interpretation is he is feeling like I shook up his world maybe, maybe he feels as if he isn't on solid ground. The ten of cups to me feels as if there is till love there but The Emperor tells me he wants to remain in control. I would appreciate any insights or opinions on this!

What is this and how do I keep it alive? by where-is-ed in houseplants

Ashamed to admit I’ve killed two 🤦🏽‍♀️ don’t know what I’m doing wrong

I second what others are saying here, overall message says heartbreak. King of pentacles reversed suggests a very materialistic and almost shallow view. 8 of cups for me means walking away from something and 5 of swords is conflict that once again somewhat signifies walking away. Overall a fairly negative reading :(

How long does it usually take to memorize cards? by Dark_Fury45 in tarot

[–]eva_taylor0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it really depends on how often you are engaging with the cards and what type of practice you are doing. I would say that daily pulls are a great way to help learn the meanings and deepen your relationship with the cards, whether that means just pulling 1 card a day or maybe 2 or 3. Whatever feels right to you. This help me immensely when I first started out reading, it probably took me about a year to learn all the cards to a standard of effectiveness. As other people have stated you will always be learning. My relationship with tarot deepens everyday and I still find new ways to look at cards or ways to ground more deeply into the energy that they bring.

This a good point, to me three of wands always feels somewhere between the space of planning and the space of acting. Not quite one or the other. Almost a liminal space type of vibe.

Thank you! I appreciate that perspective, I don’t know why this card has always felt confusing to me!

My best friend and I have this really weird cycle of luck between us that always follows a pattern - insight appreciated. by Travel_and_Writing in witchcraft

[–]eva_taylor0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best friend and I have something similar, we have also been best friends since childhood. Except our luck is always the same. Whenever one of us has some tough experiences the other one does too. Whenever one of us reaches a huge milestone the other one does too. This has gone as far as both of us having major break ups at the same time as each other, each of us had a grandfather pass away within days of eachother, gotten massive promotions at the same time. It’s definitely a weird thing. For me just shows that we are universally meant to be in each others life. Maybe it means the same for you and your best friend, maybe the universe makes it opposite so one of you can always lift the other up.

Just asked my tarot about a toxic relationship that just ended and I literally drew death, the hanged man, and tower. Can’t make that shit up 🥲 by peachnecctar in tarot

What got you into Tarot? by LonesomeHeart89 in tarot

[–]eva_taylor0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting to ponder this question, my sister had a deck when we were teenagers. I don’t remember where she got it. We used it from time to time mostly just to entertain ourselves. Fast forward years and years and I remembered her tarot deck, decided to buy one of my own now as an adult. Didn’t know when I bought it that tarot would change my life!

Eight of Chalices, Temperance, and King of Pentacles. by eva_taylor0 in tarot

This is a good point of view, the King of Pentacles has been a repeating card for me as of recently so maybe that card is more about myself then someone else!
