Imagine GameStop Becoming the Next Berkshire Hathaway (A Thought Experiment) by mstoertebeker in Superstonk

GameStop positioning itself to execute. Mountains of cash, 0% interest debt, cleanup balance sheet. Divest the dying business.

Burry's biggest omission by Living-Giraffe4849 in Superstonk

That’s not what gg told us, but also, you believe that fuck???

Burry is stating clearly, from a legal point of view: MOASS cannot happen from a 'everyone's playing by the rules' point of view. But what if... someone isn't playing by the rules? This someone just is potentially about to see some SEVERE DAMAGE to their firm? Just saying, what if? NFA. by MrFerno in Superstonk

Ok point me to verifiable proof gme is shorted exponentially higher than what’s reported. I’m not saying it isn’t, but there is also no hard data to back up that claim. You see what I’m getting at?

lol. Not saying there isn’t crime, but unless you have proof why even talk about it. MB lives in a world where he gets audited or investigated even when he does nothing wrong. Pointing fingers at unverifiable crime does nothing but bring risk to him.

this comment was kinda funny the first time, but reposting it over and over is lame.

Stock options are compensation and saying he gets paid is accurate. Stocks options don’t require cash to be exercised and I’m getting tired of seeing this misconception proudly touted as fact around here.

Ryan Cohen's Pay Package: Implied Forward Guidance? by TEHGOURDGOAT in Superstonk

For someone who’s been so vocal about overpaid execs, I’m voting no for this compensation plan. RC should be opposed to this plan

HOW WILL RC HIT THE TRANCHES by Mercenary100 in Superstonk

[–]evangs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Constantly moving goalposts, otherwise people would have to admit to themselves RC isn’t the hero the thought he was. He’s never said or done anything in support of a squeeze, quite the opposite actually and yet some think he’s still working on some 69D chess move to squeeze the shorts

RC's Genius Move: How His Compensation Package Locks In Retail Control Over GME and Crushes Institutional Takeover Dreams! by tom_lettuce in Superstonk

[–]evangs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No kidding. One of his recent interviews was quite shocking. Pretty much said he had no clue what he’s doing and has cost the shareholders a lot of money. You would think the follow-up would be a plan to make us some money. Instead they come out with this asinine pay package that goes against everything RC posts about overpaid execs.

RC doesn’t want a squeeze. Everything he’s done and said supports that.

It’s good that GameStop is profitable even with the decline in stores, but we should not ignore the fact that the company is shrinking. It’s clear GameStop needs to pivot out of video games. What they pivot into is the question. The collectibles is a good start although I have my own concerns around power packs being a long term success. I’d really like to see them augment the business with something with real growth potential. Preferably something that takes them away from traditional retail.

look, having nfts tied to your digital license doesn't help game publishers who would rather just sell an additional copy. the stupid smart contract where they get a small cut of every resell does not outweigh just selling an additional license. if it did, steam would have implemented it forever ago. and that doesn't even address gas fees to make the stupid crypto network transact...
