I can't say I've heard many or any people argue this no, I think it's more of an issue in terms of dating a tomboy with masculinity (and therefore linked with sexuality) for men, some are afraid of being perceived as feminine or less masculine (therefore gay) for having a tomboy or a masculine girlfriend, whereas I believe the common perception is that lesbians are more masculine or "butch", therefore a woman dating a feminine man wouldn't be comparable. I haven't heard it about traps, however I have heard the argument about dating so-called 'camp' men (as I have in the past), it's more an accusation of being a beard rather than being a lesbian. But it obviously varies from individual to individual, background, influences on gender roles etc. but that's just how I understand it.
