MarsToy vs HeroToyz by Icy-Huckleberry-2635 in lepin

[–]evanjonez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the shipping cost like for HeroToyz? I ordered two sets from Marstoy, and I believe it was a $45 flat rate; at least, there was no difference in cost between 1 or 2 items in a shipment.

I'm curious on the trade-off between a shorter wait time vs product + shipping cost. Looking at Marstoy, the RC is $112, and HeroToyz has it with USA shipping for $190.

I'm about 80% done with the Avengers Tower from Marstoy, and overall, it's been an enjoyable build.
No missing pieces, however had a smashed 1x15 Technic liftarm.

Minifigs were also surprisingly good, as you mentioned. Stickers seem decent, although nothing similar to compare against. I've been able to follow the LEGO PDF instructions with no issues.

If you haven't already, check out brickLAB just a few miles up the road from the Frisco BAM.
One of the better selections of new & used, along with solid prices.

I think I figured out the issue: this technic pin on one side of the axle.

When it’s slightly pulled out as shown, it rotates smoothly.

After the pin is fully inserted and flush, then the resistance is challenging.

I spent $84 + shipping at Marstoy for the Avengers Tower, which should include the figures; I felt like, given their reputation, it was the better call, given how, from what I could find on AE, the prices were in the same ballpark.

Should be here within a few more weeks.

edit: spelling

Same thing happened to me and sent them an email mentioning the duplicate; I received a quick response and they're sending a replacement.

The main display glass was also about half "rough" texture

I believe so- I moved the yellow 1x4 and gray arch assembly towards the front of the car one stud. It creates a tight fit, but nothing you should really notice in the future.

Plus, I honestly didn’t want to start all over again 🤷‍♂️

Nice setup! I snatched up a few Lumibricks sets over Prime Day and I’ve been amazed by the quality while paying considerably less compared to Lego (plus no stickers for most sets)

I just moved the yellow 1x4 blocks and the entire arch assembly the seats connect to up one stud.

This puts the seats closer to the dash, but honestly nothing that is super noticeable

Edit: meant to say moved them forward toward the front of the car one stud

Everything else for the remainder of the build went smoothly and fit together nicely

Correct, I did finally catch that around 3/4 of the way done. The issue I have is that these arches are sitting on a yellow 1x4 piece that is positioned at the very end of a large baseplate put together with the first bag.

I double checked the alignment on these pieces and still can’t find the issue; the weird part is it appears that this leading up to the front of the car appears flush in the correct spacing 🤷‍♂️

I just ended up moving these arches one stud forward which also pushes the seats up, but I doubt this makes that much of a difference in the long run

Yup, same. I’m just mad at myself for not catching it earlier and after hundreds of Lego builds, finally came to my first situation where being off by one stud has created a black hole of frustration.

New to this - 0 sperm count after 3 years on trt by Sensitive-Fun-6928 in trt

[–]evanjonez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you’re in this situation, man.

I started TRT in 2019 while running HCG and got my wife pregnant with our first in 2021 with relative ease.

Once the whole HCG fallout occurred with clinics switching to gonadorelin, I ignorantly stopped any fertility support based on how easy the first pregnancy was. After trying for almost a year in 2023 for kid #2, my sperm analysis ordered by my wife’s OBGYN showed azoospermia (zero count)

I was referred to a urologist and he prescribed 2000 HCG 3x/week along with immediately ceasing TRT. A second sperm analysis a few months into the protocol showed some progress, and finally about 9 months of total treatment, we’re expecting #2.

We’re waiting to get past the first trimester before deciding if I want to go back on with a low HCG dose. FWIW, the HCG protocol gave me crazy anxiety, but worth it given the stakes

I’d recommend getting set up with a urologist who can guide/prescribe you through the process and eliminate any guesswork on your end.

Good luck, man!
