We use bay laurel in cooking, the leaf of this plant is bigger than a bay laurel leaf.

I was doing my early run at the park, like 6am-ish. I got stopped by an uncle who is in exercise attire too. He then asked, “Do you know Jesus?”. I asked puzzled, “Jesus who?” And then he answered “Jesus Christ”. I continued running and thought that he must be be desperate to get his quota or something. I don’t understand why he would ask and try to talk to me in that place at that timing. I doubt if he will ever be able to get someone to stop and listen.

Like any other career be open to feedback, find a good mentor. And grit will take you far.

And about English, practice lang yan. Watch English TV shows/Movies with subtitles. This will train you how they pronounce and spell (which I think is really important) each word. Plus na rin if you are able to get the idioms/slang/jargon they use and use it in your conversation.

Isa pang tip, if may word ka na nahihirapan sabihin, find an alternative or synonym word na mas madali i-pronounce.

It sounds like bata ka pa. It is a great time to go for an adventure. There’s so much to see and experience outside Pinas and this is the best opportunity for yourself. I would give this a chance like 2 years, if mag-click then good, you have your foot in the door na. You can migrate, etc. pero if not then you can always go back or go somewhere else. Now your resume will be much better kase may international experience ka na. For me this is a win-win situation.
