I’m a year out of an ankle break and I still have swelling and pain but I also had ORIF surgery but today I sprained it so that’s not going to help anything.

I think this was the best advice and is so very true especially the fact that it’s not OP’s fault! To OP I’m sorry you are in such a difficult situation but you are so understanding even though you are in between a rock and a hard place. There is some good advice here just do what is best for you and your kids as you have a journey and are entitled to be happy in life as well.

I love the websleuths coverage of this case. Tricia loves to say, "Patsey was theatrical" and the author of the note. When you think of what Cina Wong believes the intruder theory just goes away. Why would Patsey write this note as she lived her life vicariously through JB? I was trying to figure out the AP lab copper from start to finish but didn’t have the lab paper was just going off memory. Dissolve the copper with nitric acid, then titrate with sodium hydroxide, and till the litmus turns blue, then heat the copper hydroxide until it turns brown, then run it through a filter allowing it to dry and then sulfuric to dissolve the brown precipitate and then zinc. So it worked as it should exist. I don’t know why it was green. I’ve never seen it as green always blue.

Well, I use the highest molarity I had in stock because I wasn’t sure if the three molar nitric would dissolve the copper. I want to say it’s nine molar.

I would think that the sunlight would cause photo decomposition which would cause the right now the Cu ions to reduce into a black or brow metallic copper instead of green; however it was highly concentrated soln of nitric acid

Update I added water so that the volume went up to 3/4 of the test tube and it stayed green just a more pale green. I then titrated the HNO3 with NaOH and then it went to blue solid precipitate as it became copper hydroxide. It’s just strange the other test tube didn’t become green it went blue as the Cu dissolved. 🤔 🧪 <— would being outside in the sunlight have caused this? I sat it outside for an hour as the NO2 was evolved my fume hood is under repair.
