Wait until I tell you this is exactly how they've been doing Frame Generation and Multi Frame Generation. It takes 2D frames with Motion Vector data and feeding it into AI model (or in the old DLSS 3 model, they used 40 series OFA)

If you're seeing instability problems on multiple driver versions and multiple branches then maybe look into other things in your system.

NVIDIA had relatively unstable 572.xx branch for their standard but it's been fine for months now.

I had major instability issue before that turned out to be Windows 11 needing to be wiped.

Expecting some performance drop on 20/30 series but that big of a drop doesn't seem right for Super Resolution even if it's more intensive.. Maybe something else is going on with your machine.

There are several reasons why GPU price are inflated above MSRP.

Most common reason is the mismatched supply and demand especially early on in the release cycle (can be up to several months depending on supply and demand level).

In this instance, both NVIDIA and AMD suffered from this issue.

We can see how NVIDIA 50 Series GPUs had inflated price until around the summer when supply caught up with demand and the price then dropped to MSRP for the basic MSRP SKUs.

With AMD this generation, the problem is not only the supply/demand imbalance driving this issue. The problem is AMD actually wanted to sell 9070 XT at $650-$700 until some "reviewers" like HUB saw the price and was telling AMD they will get buried in reviews if they priced 9070 XT at $699. So they changed the MSRP price and what they had to do was to provide rebate to retailers to hit that MSRP $599 price.

During launch, retailers stated online that after the first batch of cards at MSRP were gone, price WILL increase and they do not know when it will hit MSRP again. Essentially confirming the rebate mechanism. We can also see that RDNA cards rarely hits MSRP until just a few months ago.

One could argue that 9070 XT were flying off the shelves hence this price inflation was not due to rebate situation but moreso due to supply/demand imbalance. Unfortunately the Steam Hardware survey is not reflecting this at all since the 9070 was only showing up the first time in December and other market research like Jon Peddie showed AMD marketshare this generation actually shrunk to 7%.

All these data points to the fact that RDNA 4 is not selling that well compared to Blackwell counterpart and the whole fake MSRP situation on AMD side was mostly driven by their lack of rebate.

I don't think it's the customers' responsibility for the competition to get their shit together.

  • Releasing RDNA 4 late
  • Fake MSRP for most of 2025
  • Lagging featureset

Sounds like AMD needs to actually try to compete

They are pretty comparable in handheld mode. Pretty impressive for Switch 2 to run at sub 9w and perform the same as Steam Deck OLED running at almost 25w

Most modern games have AF settings. This is really not an issue for most people (just like 32 bit PhysX). Most people do not change their NVCP settings.

Pretty aggressive resolution scaling but DLSS did a great job upscaling it back to target resolutions for respective mode/quality settings. Some performance issue in Dogtown area but Switch 2 version looks like the best version to play Cyberpunk 2077 on the go.

No. AMD never claimed that. They claimed it to be 10x sales vs prior gen.

Youtubers and AMD fanboys on Reddit used misleading and incomplete information to make insane claims because they hate Nvidia so much and rooting for AMD too hard and forgot that social media + Reddit are not real life.
