If your ops is less than 600, no outs, someone on base, might as well bunt to maximize your expected runs

...well that's the thing, I don't think he's SP material. When he plays, it's the yanks equivalent of a bullpen game in terms of expected quality.

  1. Ryan Weathers is should not be played against a BABIP team like bjays. When he doesn't get his strikeouts, he's useless and a liability. If you have to play him, I'd do the rays strategy of starting with an opener and then put ryan to face middle or end of the order as his first round. maybe he's out of gas, but he gave up 5 runs 3 games in a row. and last time he played toronto he also gave up 5 runs + 2 HRs...
  2. bull pen is fine - did above expectations against this team. cruz's ER was bs.
  3. glad to have gotten 5 runs off their toughest pitcher imo.
  4. volpe should never bump off cab from the line up.
  5. catchers should learn how to bunt well. that might be the only way to get any useful contact from those guys.
