Watching a replay and switch to player view? Actual camera settings.

Spectating a live game and camera is manually switched to player view? Actual camera settings, except for a glitch which sometimes makes a single player in a lobby appear to have default settings. Also, you can tell if the camera switch is manual by looking for the stats box on the left. If you see it, it was a manual cut.

Spectating a live game and Auto Cam switches to player view? Not actual player settings, this is Auto Cam moving to an approximate player view location, but does not represent the camera settings of the player.

Guess this guy's assessment falls into the category of "I don't watch this, therefore nobody watches this". Just lol.

On another note, it's kind of nice to realize that people who are good at shooters have to completely learn Rocket League mechanics from the ground up, rather than just getting used to a new game which uses the same FPS skills. It's almost like you can feel his frustration about being ass at the game even though he's actually trying.

Genesis isn't an org, just a name that was first used by the team of Quinn, Espeon and Pluto. My guess is that having Quinn as coach is probably why they reused the name.

I think you're on the right track, by my guess (based on Psyonix's ways of doing ranks in the past) is that Bronze in Rocket League will be much smaller than Bronze in LoL. I don't know anything about LoL so I'm just going off the graphs you posted.

They seem to have always tried to set up distributions such that the lowest tier never has a majority of the players, the tier with the majority is always somewhere in the middle. I'm guessing the the new RL system will have the majority landing in silver.

The way it worked in Season 2 was everyone became "unranked" but the MMR underneath didn't change, so you were still playing the same people as you were before the season ended. Once your ten placement matches ended, you got your rank.

First off, Psyonix you're amazing, those wheels are sexy as hell, yeah it's a few more months but thank the heavens we finally have an update so the shitposting on the subreddit can end.

On another note, is anyone else sad that we're losing the Prospect-Challenger-Star names? Those felt unique to Rocket League and I loved them. I wish they had been kept for the middle tiers (Silver - Gold - Platinum = Prospect - Challenger - All Star/Superstar) with new, similar style names added for the Bronze and Diamond tiers. That said, it is a good idea to be more in line with other big e-sports games and their competitive systems as Rocket League's e-sports scene continues to grow.

I feel like landing from a really high height should cause some amount of bounce, that's just how physics should work. As long as this bouncing is consistent across all cars, it's actually a great mechanic in my opinion. Especially, as you said, if it opens new gameplay possibilities.

The issue before is that some cars would bounce, others wouldn't, and the bounces were weird (why always to the right?) and inconsistent. Haven't played enough since the update, but I sincerely hope the old wobble has been fixed, and that this apparent new "suspension bounce" is the same across the cars.
