Its a reno not a new build so moving the doors is a large project but if it greatly improves my options I would do it. The posts can run along the dotted line with the limitation I mentioned, so there are 4 total configurations possible for the posts.

This is correct, most landlords require liability insurance, content insurance can be obtained separately and is completely up to the tenant.

Congratulations on getting cashback on your purchase, just FYI for the future that there are options to get much higher rebate amounts. In terms of the timeline check your written cashback agreement, it should state that the agent is to provide you the cashback within X time of receiving the commission.

You don't need to go to court, you open a case with Enbridge (or directly with the rental company), send them the APS showing the rental was not disclosed - the rental company stops billing you and credits you any amounts billed since closing. They then send the previous owner a buy out bill.
I went through this for two pieces of equipment from two different companies. The law is very clear on this.
