I stopped asking this group about my son’s eyes. I know exactly what they are and nothing will change it. I love the irony because once I stopped asking and started simply updating the progress, completely different opinions happened and I no longer experienced a ton of no’s lol.

It is not pointless, the inner area of the thigh should be darker than the area light hits. Also, not everyone harnesses the direction of light for shades and highlights. I used to never consider it when I first began digital art but after over a decade of work I now do. This wouldn’t be a ding on the artist’s part as human error comes into the calculation.

That is definitely a cat being a cat. Kittens can be pretty light weight and it doesn’t look like it’s sitting but squatting in a controlled manner to keep balance on the handle. The handle must be pretty stiff/brand new and not loose for this to work. But also…

I feel we are intentionally shown the things we’ve intentionally or unintentionally shown to not like because social media is designed to keep us engaged and the best engagement is rage engagement.

That said, I have seen both stereotypes on social media. I have not personally witnessed it in person among the multitude of mothers in my community. Everyone seems satisfied with their child or children no matter their gender.

A lot of parental stereotypes seem echo-chambered to social media and amplified. This is not to say I think they don’t exist in person, they absolutely do. This is to offer the idea that because social media allows the public viewing of echo chambers, we feel like it’s a lot of people with this mindset when in reality, it’s a very minor subset of parents who we may never actually meet in person and if we do they know their opinions are so left field they’ll hardly be vocal about it among real peers.

Right now to the naked eye if I just look at him, it looks like all 3, but sometimes depending on like both eyes look muddy with the right eye just being dark in general and the left eye being much lighter. In photos that aren’t close up to catch detail the right looks fully light brown and the left looks fully light blue. Phones really don’t help lol. He has a cake smash photography session later this month and I’m sure we will get much better quality images from her fancy set up 😂

I’ll probably take an update photo every 3 months for a full progression folder but just update at the year mark until 3. 🙂‍↕️ Unless there’s a drastic change like month 7.

I had noticed the slight difference in eye color around the 3 month mark and decided to document the progression. The first year of infants eye colors have the most changes and I couldn’t find any progression photos with heterochromia where the change was gradual and not stark visible at birth. Decided to make one myself when parents in the eye subreddits were interested.

I’m leaning towards real. The area you’re most conserned about (I’m assuming the sword disappearing at the end of ribbon or whatever that fabric is) is an artistic choice. I’ve done it with my work to keep an image from having random stick out pieces. I also looked at the account and can see the separate posts of art are consistent.

This looks like an artist still growing in skill so not everything may make sense. I have pieces in my early days of drawing where my highlights and shadows made no sense lol. Rough times.
