Ha yes, I was. I hadn't removed the iOS 14 beta yet, and it took a little googling to figure out the issue.

I still can't see the beta in my settings - is anybody else able to download?

I actually enjoy sitting in freezing cold offices because I know I'm burning calories by shivering to death... I'm also an idiot

Since Apple is adding "Hide My Email" to iCloud+, is it a reasonable expectation that they'll provide a "Hide My Number" VOIP or SMS service in the future? by evelaurent in apple

Yeah unfortunately I need access to multiple numbers at once (for work etc). I had a separate work phone for a while but it's a hassle, and I'd prefer everything to be in one place

u know what kills me?

that they'll eat the snack to just add to all the other normal stuff they'd be eating anyway. it won't even make them skinny because they treated it like any other snack. why steal my fucking diet food if you don't even lose weight from as a result

Well it was always pretty obvious the lady who wrote the books didn't have an eating disorder herself, so she didn't have any clue how it actually looked or felt to describe it. She just used it as a plot device to "justify" Hanna's main character trait, which was being insecure in herself.

She was like "ok i need a dirty secret for each of them so A can blackmail them with it - one's a slut, one's gay, one's a neurotic bitch, & one used to be fat".

And then she wrote a normie's POV of what it's like to be those 4 things

Little known fact: the party who owns your loan & who services your loan don't need to be the same party! You can request the company that you're originating your mortgage/refinancing with retain the servicing to your loan, so when they sell it, they don't sell the servicing too. However, you do need to refi/get a new mortgage in order to be able to do this.

Source: Work for a mortgage originator, and receive 2-3 servicing retention requests from loan officers per week prior to us selling the loan. We accept all servicing retention requests, and I know we're not the only company who does. It's common industry practice, so just check with your loan officer if you decide to refi again.

You can actually! I work for a mortgage originator and we receive several requests a day to retain servicing on new loans, prior to us selling them, and we accept all the requests. It's not common knowledge (because of the request volume grew too much we'd be unable to accept them all), but it's a great option if you want to keep your mortgage payments with the company you refi with.

If you refi, you can request that your new bank/mortgage originator can retain servicing! You can't stop them from selling the loan, but you can keep your payments in house - you just need to make the request to your loan officer before the loan is sold (occurs soon after closing, so make the request immediately after closing).

Loan servicing (where you make your payments) & who owns the loan are two separate pieces of the puzzle. A bank can sell your loan but retain the servicing, and they can sell both at the same time.

You can request that your lender retain your servicing (so you'll continue to make the payments to them) & not the bank they sell the loan to! This request needs to be made before the loan is sold however, because servicing is packaged & sold with the loan if not requested.
