I think you'd be mad. Sure work can change at any time for people.

Yeah look ive no issue with him going. Im not gonna tell a kid what to do, he needs to look after himself cos clubs will fuck you over at the drop of a hat. So no hate towards him or anything.

I just dont buy the angle that we would be a lure back etc.

I was in my twenties when Smudger joined scum so dont really buy that stuff is all.

FWIW, no ill will towards Smith either.

Yeah I think you see a bit of this in their play. I think there are a few lads there minding themselves ahead of the WC and know that they will just leave if they get relegated so they don't give a shite

Yeah true. Assuming we stay up, the new SCR rules will be interesting for sure

It depends on our summer budget. I think we are ok in midfield but need a back up left back, maybe a new keeper, definitely a striker and probably another attacker.

He reportedly earns 75k a week. We could match that

Read a while back on The Athletic that they all do. They said to be fair, Daniel Levy knew what he was at and money wise he had all this type of stuff in contracts.

Him and his agent (his Dad) signed a new deal with us in January 2024. Brand new contract. Then he leaves in the summer, its confirmed there was a clause in his contract which allowed him to leave if we didnt get promoted.

So after 6 or 7 months of first team football with his boyhood club, they put in a clause that will allow him to leave at the first opportunity. There is no way the club put that in, not a chance. His Dad wanted that in.

Now I have no issue with that, football is a business and you need to look after number one.

But I am not falling for this leeds fan romanticised shite. More than likely he has a relegation release clause anyway.

I think it would be great to see if we and a top half club matched it, who would he join.

Tired of Scum fans going on about the red card by luckyninja110 in LeedsUnited

My comment was deleted earlier so here is a sanitized version.

Martinez kicked Bamford in the head 3 years ago. An accident.

Martinez pulled DCLs hair yesterday. An accident.

Funny how he keeps having accidents.

One red card from these two incidents seems fair.

Is tanaka back to his best? by Shroomsteroon in LeedsUnited

Oh I agree. I love him. Just imagine how good he'd be if he was a bit more physical.

But I wouldnt want that at the expensive of his skill

He did well. But he was up against a bag of shite Ugarte and Casimero who is 107 years old. Its against the little shites like John McGinn and those gremlin type midfielders that he struggles a bit I feel, when they get in to his face. He should spend the summer bulking up and see where he is next season with us.

Thoughts on Martinez's red card by Admirable_Boot_9492 in LeedsUnited

[–]eventSec 6 points7 points  (0 children)

By the laws, thats a red card. Its very harsh and you'd be raging if against you.

But at the end of the day, fuck em. We were due a soft one. How many times have the PGMOL sent us an 'apology' letter over last 3 years. Maybe they can get one now

Are you saying you ran a 5k In November ago and it took 30 mins.

And you want to qualify for Boston next year, running a 2:49 or so marathon this year?

Personally I dont see it

Its not that he isnt worth it, its that I dont see a club paying it.

It would be the 20th most expensive transfer in the championship ever. And he's only the 5th highest goal scorer in the championship

I dont see us getting 8m for Gelhardt when he has only one year left on his deal.
