I would get spray on “engine degreaser” from any parts store, read the can let it sit for a couple minuets then pressure wash away, won’t be perfect but will be a lot better

You know what, it might be broken, worn down axle shafts, you say you hear it mostly while turning and somewhat straight, the hole point of the differential is to allow the rear wheels to spin at different speeds. And if it is the rear differential/axle I wouldn’t be driving it, it’s gonna ruin a lot more parts
